Yes and next year is the 50 the anniversary of the 1969 Camaro ZL1, had the most powerful engine ever put in a Camaro. He called it the hammer, just speculation on the name, but how can't they make the car?

Im sure they are already working on the next camaro by now and have laid this generation to rest.

We are going into th 3rd year of most likely a 6 year cycle, and to add an engine to a vehicle linup is kind of a big deal due to EPA, CAFE, and other restrictions; and I cannot remember any time it has happened to a currently produced vehicle.

could there be a Z28 car? possibly, but the ZL1 1Le has Z06 performance with the Z28's suspension; there is nothing better available that I am aware of. Then you have the price point issue. after tax and everything I paid 80K out the door on my car. If a Z28 would come out it would have to compete with both the Z06 and ZL1 1LE both in performance and price point.
