Thinking about getting a ZL1 1le

Do you think there are any up coming changes to the the zl1 after chevy released the ZR1 Vette. Im thinking about getting rid of my current camaro and moving up to the ZL1 1le but i dont have a problem holding off for awhile for a more powerful ZL1. DO you think they will change it soon?

They change the car every single year. Every 2-3 years bigger changes. Shit or get off the pot!

I doubt they will add anymore power to the SS or ZL1. I don't know if it's worth holding out for. Because if they do bump it then as soon as you get one there will be a new latest and greatest out. I got my ZL1 and then the ZL1 1LE came out. I got my Hellcat and then the Demon came out. And now the ZR1 came out. So it is nearly impossible to stay ahead of the game. I say get what you want when you want it if you can.

You won’t keep up with the marketing teams. Their job is to sell more cars. The next one will be faster, stronger, lighter. Get you car now and upgrade later. If not you’ll be on the fence forever.

Sounds like you are interested in tracking your car, go for the 1LE. I think if they do anything it will be in the 1/4 mile direction. They have the track covered unless they come out with a Z/28.

The plan was to get the ZL1 1LE. Thank y’all you made a good point about not being able to stay ahead of the game. I’m not really sure I ever plan to mod it once I get one, my 2010 camaro is fully built 416 TT with almost everything changed out. Making 745rwhp at 8psi. So mods just don’t really seem worth the money anymore after that since I’m losing so much money when I sale it :(

Going to look at one today fresh off the truck. The newbie Salesman says i could test drive it, I bet that won’t happen though. I want one but not ready to pull the trigger yet.

Whatever you buy, it'll be topped. If that didn't happen they'd go out of business!

But also consider this...

I have a Hellcat Charger. For a few moments it was the fastest 4 door sedan on the market. Now we have a few as fast or faster.

What did that change about my car? This is all head case stuff because 99% of people will never test the limits of the cars anyway.

I'm looking at the ZL1 and adding the aero kit. After I do that they'll come out with a faster ZL1 with better aero. But so what??? What does that really translate to given the FACT that I'm not a professional driver?

It means nothing. And we're at a point now where ALL of these cars...ZL1, GT350, Hellcats, 911, WRX....all are so much fun their own ways that you really can't lose.

They had a 10k ADM on the ZL1 1LE at 82k. I was not comfortable in the Recaros. They also had a tempting 2SS 1LE.

ADM is unreasonable. Shop around, even out of state to find an MSRP deal - not hard at all.

Recaro seats are a tough sell if the driver doesn't fit. They do their job well, but are unforgiving past a certain size human...

The C8 Vette will use 5.5 litter TT DOHC in its Z06 model. A 4.5 litter turbo in their base Vette. And the C7 will continue on with 6.2 OHV options until 2021. The LT5 will most certainly make it into the Camaro at least one year after the ZR1 goes on sale. Save this post. You could bet your kids college on its accuracy.
