OIL/AIR SEPARATOR - GM (12674766)

It is call "oil separator", so I am wondering where the separated oil goes?
I understand it is cleanside, so not much of oil , but if it is stored in the can, should I clean it up regularly?

Oil from the breathers drain back into the engine oil pan - it works well.

I'm ok with the gamble. My fix is holding up well and I did find the OEM part for 74$'s. I'll get it replaced when I get the front pulled apart when I have the cam installed. But for now I'm going to enjoy boost season.
