I like the base seats in my friend's 2015.. Huge improvement over the ones in the 2013 I had.

I believe the Mustangs come standard with engine oil coolers. Given Ford's history, they won't add the transmission and differential coolers until a few burst into flames and a lawsuit gets filed

I would rather have vented seats than the Recaros. My 15 Mustang had them and I hated them

I just wanna take a moment to give a shout-out to the admins for getting rid of yet another troll, lol!! Thanks.

Looks like the PP2 won't be on the same level as the GT350. Seeing as how the magneride on the non-R and the R are the same I would guess that means it won't be as aggressive on the PP2. It'll have the good tires but that will just match the GT350 tires so it'll still be on a lower performing level. So if it isn't up to GT350 (non-R) status then it'll be under the 1LE as well. But it'll get the GT closer to being a respectable car.

This!! I know we talk a lot about the sub-par performance of this Gen's GT, but I think if we took the Camaro out of the question it isn't all that bad really. In other words, I think it is just as much a result of how amazing the Gen 6 Camaro performs as it is how sub-par the Mustang performs.

This has all been fine I think, because the Mustang was SO cheap. Now that the prices are up and match the Camaro, I feel like they will be much more under the microscope so to say. The #1 thing the Mustang had this Gen was its incredible affordability. Now though, gone are the days of "Well, I can get a Mustang for $X,XXX cheaper than a Camaro."

If these new offerings don't come out swinging, what will be the excuses then? And, how are buyer's going to react to the quality issues now? Panel gaps on a $50,000 GT? I don't know how that's going to go over.

Truth! People were getting base model Gts for high $20Ks...or so they say. I mean, there were those who bought the GT because they couldn't get financing for the SS. On it's own merit and without having to compete with the Camaro, I think the Mustang is ok as a cheap performance car. It would be bottom of the barrel for the V8s (along with the 5.7 Hemi Challengers) but it would at least be faster in the quarter mile than the Evos and WRXs and 370Zs. Cornering would be a different story. Now that price is out of the equation I am curious to see how it plays out.

Considering a S550 GTPP is pretty much neck and neck with a S197 Boss 302...I'd say it's a very respectable car.

The SS is simply better.

I think this PP2 will be a better track car than the standard SS. But not quite at the 1LE level. And PP1 will still be behind the SS especially if that SS has MRC. But things just got a lot closer.

The price increase on Mustang has indeed brought the difference with it and Camaro to parity, but that'll only exist until the Camaro's MCE, then the status quo will return. Unless of course Camaro's facelift/update comes in with no cost increase.

There's no reason for Camaro to have a Mustang type of price jump and I'm confident we won't see it.

Mustang's price jump was actually rather normal considering historical evidence.

1998 GT starts at $20,150
1999 GT starts at $20,945 --- 3.95% increase

2004 GT starts at $23,675
2005 GT starts at $25,140 --- 6.19% increase

2010 GT starts at $27,995
2011 GT starts at $30,495 --- 8.93% increase

2014 GT starts at $31,210
2015 GT starts at $32,300 --- 3.49% increase

2017 GT starts at $33,195
2018 GT starts at $35,095 --- 5.72% increase

So, this increase in MSRP isn't out of line in anyway. Yes it's more expensive, but most times vehicles increase in cost after updates.

I'm not sure of Camaro's increases during MCE's and Gen changes, give me a moment and ill track down the numbers.
