Why not make your own heat shield with a roll of aluminum foil?

Thanks for the kind words. I am glad you are happy with your products.

I have seen hot manifolds lose 5-7rw on the dyno in testing. If this helps then it would be great to be able to maintain that power. I figured the foam barrier was doing this and the heat was just being transferred from the engine bay. However, on the dyno the hood is open with the fan on and the IM still heats up. This would be a great addition on a MSD since you have to remover the OEM foam deal to make it fit. I wish this stuff wasn't so ugly or I would wrap my RF intake tube in it to keep my IAT's down at the track. 115* IAT temps on a 70* day suck.

it is a little ugly and arguably overpriced for essentially "fancy foil / ducting" but the way i figure is it can do NO harm or lose more HP at worst. and right at best we could pick up / save 1, 3, 5 or more HP / TQ while lapping or idling up to making passes

I think it is a good idea. I was saying it is ugly and stands out when you wrap your intake tube with it. I have seen guys wrap their fuel rails and systems in it also. I wonder what if any benefit this would do on our cars since the rails sit so close to the valley tray cover and the head.

Yes, I have been back at it since September. Just been super busy. I will have another batch of ported IM/TB's ready to go by the end of next week hopefully. I also have three sets of core heads now.

$550 for the porting with a $400 up front core fee if you use the exchange program. Usually it is just a couple days once the order is placed if I have cores in house. If you are sending your IM/TB in for a port and return you get priority. Allow for two days for porting. Hit me up at my email address for more details.

Thanks,
Brett

Thank you for the Info. Is a tune required for these mods?

I ALWAYS recommend a tune with any mod but from my testing if you are running the stock CAI or a Roto-Fab CAI the AFR doesn't change much if any since the mods are "minimal" and behind the MAF.
