People talk about how much faster the A8 shifts but says nothing about the power lost due to timing being yanked at the shift.I think the cars are very close with good drivers.The torque management is what's really hurting manuals.

Exactly because the M6 cars are running faster then the A8's according to the performance page due to the performance page using wheel speed. They are only accurate when not spinning the tires. A true 3.6 0-60 would be a 11.6-11.7 1/4 time roughly. No stock M6 6gen is doing that.

There is enough data out there showing the A8 is a little quicker at the dragstrip/dig, no question.
I have now owned both the A8 SS and now m6. The manual feels faster from a roll to me (sotp), compared to the A8 (manual mode in-gear acceleration). Not definitive but there are a few You Tube videos displaying this as well. Edge to the manuals on highway pulls all else equal.
