Camaro 2.0t @ Gainesville drag strip

Finally got the opportunity to get a time slip at a test n tune night. Initial run I left my car in drive and didn't break boost very hard at all and ran a 13.1 at 104 mph. My second run I select shifted and break boosted much higher and ran a 12.7 and 107 mph.

Great number! You shifted your auto? You know it's faster just leaving it in Drive, right?

I did that for the first run and got 13.1, which I think was due to the shift points.
It would throw the gear around 5.8-6, and I have it go in around 6-6.3k in manual. Also first gear I bring it up even higher than that

That is because all the V6 owners are lame ducks. They had a whole year on the I4 (if talking 6G) and they have 4 time slips total, between them all to show. Then they wonder why no one really wants to make them any parts. Lol.

Maybe next time I’m going to a drag strip, I’ll rent a V6 Camaro and get some time slips for them.

Anyways nice pass!

I agree with you but about 90% of the 5th Gen V6 owners who went to a 6th Gen on here did one of two things when decision time came. They went to the V8 or they got the 2.0T based on the knowledge it will outperform the V6 easily. So it's a case of lame duck and evolution.
