The cheapest blower with install and tuning was the Livernois Windstorm (or something) blower and that was about $6500. But it was a limited time run and it was a TVS2300 style blower and I didn't like the look of it. Other blowers were $8,000 at the cheapest with install and tuning. Adding in other mods like LTs, OPGs, upgraded clutch, upgraded axles, better tires, and everything else I would have wanted to make me feel comfortable that the car was reliable and not having to worry about anything breaking on me would have been another $3K minimum with install. That puts me at around $60K with no warranty. Which is more than the cost of a used Hellcat and right at the price of a new ZL1. My ZL1 optioned out was $69K. Add in the cost of a possible blown engine or trans and I would have been over $60K with no warranty. Oh, and don't forget added costs of having to ship my car to the shop that was giving me the best deal on the blower etc and all the little costs here and there that add up. It was not worth it to me. So it came down to building a GT the way I want it or buying a ZL1. Not even a choice. |

I stole mine last year when they were doing the 20-25% off. My car stickered just over 40 k and I got it for 30,600. Put 10 k down and financed the rest at 1.9 |

BTW, at my track there are several Hellcats there that run consistently in the high 10s and low 11s on the stock driveshaft with no other mods but DRs. Last time I was there 4 of them not including mine had shown up. One ran a 10.7 on nothing but DRs. See you would know this kind of stuff if you went to the track. |

You can call me ignorant all you want. Truth is I have owned probably about 10 Mustangs in the past 7 years. That doesn't include the Mark VIIIs I've owned and the Thunderbirds I had. I know Mustangs probably more than most Mustang fanboys. I've been to multiple car shows and have talked to Mustang guys who were clueless about a lot of stuff I thought was elementary level stuff. I and others here have mentioned many things about the new GT. And you Mustang guys wanna sit here and continue to argue. I have been on multiple Mustang forums and have seen the complaints that we have all mentioned time and time again. Drew Peacock is completely right about how Mustangs drive and I have seen you guys complain about it. And I owned my S550 GT for a year and even when I tried to ignore those issues they were still clear. So you can call me a liar or say I'm ignorant all you want. I know because I have seen it and dealt with it. And I got rid of the problem before it became worse. And I know 2 other people who had GTs and got rid of them for multiple issues. A third friend has been without his for a seriously long time and every time he gets it back the problems come right back again. Trust me, I have seen a LOT about the S550 GTs and it isn't pretty.

He likes getting ripped off at dealers. You can get a base mustang for 40k with the Roush 670hp package with a 3/36 warranty. 44k for a GT
he walked thru the door and said, let's see how hard we can screw this guy. Like I said 35,xxx for my premium auto with NAV.

2016 Mustang GT Premium with PP. Oxford White convertible with red seats. I saw one for $46,995 at a dealership. I talked them down to $43,995 because I wasn't paying over $45K for a GT. The dealership was a 6 hour drive. I turned it down because it was too far to go. So I got another deal on a GT for $40K. OTD was like $44K. I bought a GT350 IM/TB for $1100, intake for $325, exhaust for about $550, used tuner for $175, LTs thru Beefcake for $800, and a custom tune thru Lund for like $300 I think...I can't remember. Do the math on that. I didn't get the headers installed because I ditched the car but the install at a shop would have been an additional $200 (they know me). Livernois messaged me about a supercharger setup and it was about $7000 installed and tuned. It would have costed me $1000 to ship the car to them round trip. And that didn't include the cost of OPGs or an upgraded clutch or suspension components or tires. And then it would have been a bit more if I wanted the warranty with the blower. So again, do the math. I don't have to lie. I know how much it would have costed to get a Mustang the way I wanted with the upgrades I wanted and it wasn't worth it.
Now if you scrounge around and buy base model shit or even a used GT and then scrape around buying used parts then you can put together something for much less. Been there, done that, and those days are over for me bro. I can buy what I want brand new the way I want it and that is what I do. But none of this takes away from the fact that Mustangs need to be modded from the ground up to make them fast and reliable. And by the time you're done with all that you spent a pretty penny and will have no warranty. |

Starts at 40k, you can add options, premiums go for about 45-47k with plenty options, 3 years/36k miles and 670hp. Someone just ordered and had a livernois kit installed with the livernois tune for 5500. Livernois is one of the cheapest kits at less than 5k, but once again they saw an easy profit in your face. Wonder how much money is stolen from you on a regular bases. |

Not sure if it's common but I've seen a thread or two of people being less than impressed with the factory roush tune. They ended up voiding the warranty to get a proper tune and performance IIRC

Yea earlier tunes were sketchy. They've corrected them quite a bit. People have been allowed to go with aftermarket tune like VMP and keep the warranty.
