Panel gaps are inconsistent. Hood and drivetrain vibrations plague the car. Suspension even on PP is not suited for track, drag strip, or daily driving use. The stock tune causes the car to fall flat on its face after launch. The Getrag transmission is clunky and the auto shifts too slow.

Every time I see someone singing the praises of that car that someone is a guy who modified and fixed most of these issues in the aftermarket.

Perhaps you should go test drive a stock gen6 Camaro. Notice the lack of vibrations. The hood stays put. The car doesn't need to be modded to run low 12s. The 1LE and ZL1 are so good they have no legit competitor; especially at their price. Then you will know why we bailed on the Mustang. Until then you sound like the diehard Ford guy at the local Sonic braying like a donkey that all Chevys are crap because "reasons".
well said sir.

The guy is no different than the peacock guy. Some guy who had an S550 and now has a camaro that costs about twice as much and it has gone to his head big time because to him other cars are crap, and that's fine, that's his opinion. But he looks dumb when he does 2 things, calls me out to a race when he's half way around the US, and makes assumptions as to what my car has and doesn't. Notice I haven't a single thing bad about his car or camaros in general. I simply posted my opinion on the 2018 and he lost his mind. I drove an auto SS with the wife, we both liked it, but she ended us liking another car more so we went with that instead. There are issues with the mustang, only problem I personally have had is the AC, evap was changed in about 2 days and I got it bad. Besides that the car is mechanically sound and has 24k miles in a little over 2 years. You guys make it sound as if there's absolutely 0 threads in your problems/TSB section. Hell, seems like auto ZL1s can't make a lap in a semi decently hot day without overheating the trans. I didn't go with the Mt82, it's trash, 6r80 is rock solid but no DCT auto, I'm sure the 10spd will be better.

I don't really care about low 12s. That was never my goal. But yes if just a nice daily that can go mid-low 12s the camaro or 2018 GT will do good for you. I wanted a car that would go 10s reliably, warranty isn't a big deal to me.

I understand, you guys truly believe you have a better car, just don't try to impose your beliefs on me. This is about the 2018 GT and you guys just want it to be a bashing session. Lol

I don't recall calling you or anyone out to race. I do recall you fabricating some unicorn runs and getting defensive when we didn't believe it.

Trash talking the ZL1 auto is funny since you have been singing it's praises for what that very same tranny will do for the Mustang.

Also, your comment about having a big head because my Camaro cost more than my Mustang is just silly. You sound an awful lot like Fastcarfanboy. Probably time for you to take your car to the Sonic and get another cherry limeade. Your blood sugar seems low.

Not going back to search, the ZL1 guy told me he was ready for me to run him anytime. I said it was cheesy of him to do that when he knows I'm far away. Not trash talking, just saying there's always headaches and problems with every car. A10 ZL1 is a sweet car.

Nothing to go back and search. I've never called out anyone to race. Hell I live in Montana lol.

So to get this thread back on track and out of the weeds, I say the first test will be Nov 6. Total guess.

I really hope ford steps up the build quality and quality control for 2018. My 2015 GT premium pp had all the typical issues. Rear valence wasn’t properly fit and hanging off on the corner where it meets the bumper, a few misaligned panels, misaligned dash panel inside the car, so bad that wires were exposed, had the infamous headlight knob rattle, had 2 A/C failures within 26k miles, evap core was the culprit both times. My previous 3 cars were mustangs and I had every intention of a potential s550 Mach 1 being my next car, and prior to my current car I have never owned or considered a GM vehicle, but I must say, the build quality on my camaro is flawless, no misaligned panels, no interior flaws, no rattles, the transmission is vastly better than the mt82, and everything seems solid. And for $7k off msrp of a brand new 2017 ss 1LE, it was a no brainer and I have no regrets. Only thing I miss about the mustang is the better visibility. I’m not ruling out another mustang down the road, but I’m well impressed with the 6th gen camaro.

Not really sure why you feel the need to drag my name into this discussion. I haven't posted in this thread nor do I talk shit about the Camaro. I will defend the Mustang against some of the flat out falsehoods slung around here though.

Serious question though... How long will the rest of you members allow Blaqwhole to call other members liars even after they provide evidence before you tell him to keep his ignorant ass quiet on subjects he clearly knows nothing about?

Maybe they look up to blaqwhole because they know less, that's hard to swallow because that dude doesn't have the slightest clue, but at least they don't assume to know. But he owned a mustang for all of about 5 minutes before trading up and he's now capable of telling you every detail and capabilities of a mustang, hell he knows mods I have that I didn't even know were on the car, someone threw them on at the factory without telling anyone.

Sometimes people get carried away and start taking things personally. Keeps the rivalry alive though.
