As I said previously in this thread, I am much more interested in the Mustang suspension and chassis changes. I think in past models this was obviously a focal point for GM and it really doesn't seem like it has been for Ford. I've never driven the GT350 so someone who has tell us how it compares handling wise.

Mustangs are made like shit. I owned one for over 10 years and I should have gotten rid of it after 1 year. My S550 GT wasn't much better. It had cool options. But I seriously had buyer's remorse before I even got it home. I had to dump over $2,000 in it before it started to feel strong. And I still had to do LTs and suspension mods and a good tire. And even when it was running strong none of the tuners at that time could get the tune right for the GT350 IM with the TB. So it had driveability issues. And it couldn't hook because the tires were garbage for brand new tires with less than 6000 miles on them and the axles were trash. I seriously would have had to dump a huge chunk of change into it and that would have been just to get it to hook and run good NA. If I boosted it that would have been another $8000. End of the day I would have spent ZL1 money on that car. So I ditched it. The only way you can make them fast for cheap is if you get a base model GT. But if you want options and some nice stuff on a brand new GT and wanna make it fast then you'll be spending well over $40K for the car and then at least around $15K for mods. And then you'll have to worry about the trans, the clutch, and other stuff. And forget the warranty. And none of this is exaggeration. I did the math and although I don't have those exact numbers of what it would have all came out to trust me, you might as well just buy a ZL1, Hellcat, GTR, or even a Z06. |

I been a member since 2004. I mostly frequent the srk section. If you like to talk ford and chevy and do some bickering it's the spot. It's not even moderated lol. Decent handful of ford crowd too What's your screen name? All I'll add about the reliability argument is that it's kind of early to make those statements on some of the builds. How many miles are on that gt350 at 1000 rwhp? Some have done 1000 rwhp SBE lt4 as well. But I'm not going to tell everyone it's safe yet. Because no one knows for certain yet. I'd say about 2 years/20 k miles and several track days is what it would take for me to trust it. And about a dozen examples doing it |

See what I'm saying? There's no way anyone can take Blaqwhole seriously.
My car was 35xxx with x plan plus 1000 more in rebates. 4500 for Procharger kit 300 for BAP 250 for the tune (I already had the Lund Ngauge from before which was 400) 870ish for stainless power headers 500 to install the longtubes (which was done before the blower) 800 to install the blower kit 250 for eibach pro kit springs Those are my cost numbers and mods. But I'm sure I will be called a liar. I didn't have to spend the money for install of the blower or longtubes but chose to in order to save time due to my work schedule. The guy who did 1030 with the Procharger has been doing it for a few months now, apparently enjoys the car quite a bit. Current "record" holder at 1056whp with the twins is fairly new and unknown, being turbo I don't doubt he turns it up and down on the fly as he wishes. |

are M6 Hellcats still spitting axles and driveshafts out at the track these days or did dodge fix that? how bout that GTR class action launch control situation. the LS7 sucked valves often enough to have owners threaten class action. Early LT4's had debris in the oil that killed motors every car has issues. you should know, you own 2 that have had them. Last edited by FastCarFanBoy; 10-07-2017 at 04:56 PM. |

Guess I don't get the point of that argument. Not sure what it means or proves at all |

The money argument really leads nowhere. The only aspect of the money part that mattered to me at the time I was looking was interest....0% financing was available for the mustang but not for the others. If I can save a few thousand on interest I will. If the camaro would've been 0% interest with rebates and the mustang 2.9% then I'd likely be in a camaro.
