Stop lying, it's 12:1, no reputable magazine has said 13:1. Stop worriying about what I have in case this that or the other. It's not my only vehicle. I'm trying to figure out what makes people think that a modern car with say 750hp isn't daily drivable? If you stay out of boost these cars, camaros, corvettes, vipers, challengers, chargers and the list goes on, drive just fine. Will your mpg suffer a bit if you run e85 and have a long commute to work? Sure but if tuned properly it will drive fine besides being loud (if you're one of those that likes the whole catless/muffler delete stuff). I put 16k in my mustang in the first year, now drive it roughtly 6-7k per year. Only reason why I don't drive it more is to avoid door dings, rock chips and accidents. |

Not liking the DI/PI, bump in compression and speed density on the 2018s. We'll see if they are as flexible with boost as the 15-17. But for the typical NA weekend warrior it will be a nice car.

Not sure how this thread became an argument over heavily modded cars. I’m pretty sure magazines will test these cars as they come from the factory. You can make a geo metro fast, when you’re talking modded cars you’re just playing a game where the deepest pockets wins

Right, and it was a reliable source, 2 reliable sources that reported it. Yet you're sitting here calling me a liar when I said that was what was reported. How do your words taste now that you're eating them. And regardless, none of us care what the compression in the turd is anyway. I'm just stating the fact that it is a high compression engine revving over 8000 RPMs and if you think you can DD it on the stock internals pushing enough boost to make well over 800 hp or at high boost like you're saying then you're wrong. Those numbers you posted are nothing but glory numbers. Put that car on the street in that condition and it won't last long at all. |
