I still would love to find the root cause, and upgrade whatever would need to be. Like if it needs stiffer motor mounts, I would be all for that.

But I agree with 1LEMATT, that if we knew the cause of it was something like motor mounts, I'd swap them out too. |

I felt the same issue... My dealer and a performance shop I know both claim its the result of the DOD transitioning, its typically followed by a change in exhaust sound as well on my 1LE. They claim nothing is wrong at all. Hate the shake tho

DOD? Displacement on demand? Not on the manual cars so no 1LE has this.

1- Manuals don't have active DOD. 2- Even if they did, it wouldn't be activated in any way during harder acceleration. |

BUT do we have a root cause? Is it really the style/durometer of the motor/trans mounts? |

Just thought I'd add my own observation here. For me it's the same as the rest, 3rd and 4th, although I think it's worse in 4th than 3rd. Also, it's not just acceleration, I get it if I engine brake in 4th gear as well, so it happens in both directions. Though on regular roads it's hard to really notice the engine braking occurence, I really noticed it distinctly when I was driving on some glassy smooth brand new asphalt that was extremely quiet and vibration-free otherwise.
Would like to know a fix, as the feeling is bothersome. If it's just replacing some driveline mounts with something stiffer, I'm game. |

It actually does bother me a bit. Makes it feel like there's something "wrong" with the car. I just want to know from GM why it does this.

Now, even with that being said, even though it really doesn't bother me, as I don't drive in that range all that much (leisurely driving is below it, and hardcore driving is above it), sometimes I do hit it though, like merging a little hard on the highway. So if we knew for sure what it was, and it was something we could swap out (like mounts) I would be game, as they wouldn't be too much money to eliminate the issue. But unless someone is the guinea pig, or somehow tests for the source, I doubt there will ever be a resolution. The rest of the car is so badass, I don't even dwell on such a minor thing, especially being that it is "normal" and on everyone else's too. |
