Slight rumble/vibration in 3rd gear around 3500 under harder acceleration?

I notice a slight vibration, that feels like a rumble sensation, when I am accelerating a little harder in 3rd gear. It seems to happen at around 3500 rpm, and only lasts for a few seconds. It's pretty minor, but I can notice it, and it is pretty much just under that type of situation. If I am below or above that range, it doesn't do it. I just worry something may be loose or not right even though my dealer says "everything is normal". Does anyone else notice this?

I have the same issue but not as brief as you. It'll do it the whole time I'm getting on the gas under heavy acceleration in 3rd gear, same rpm... feels like a harmonic balance issue or something. Shakes the whole car. I kinda hate it.

I may have underestimated the time, it can be more than a second depending on the situation...interesting you seem to feel it too though. I edited my OP.

I noticed the same in third and to a lesser extent in fourth. Its not as severe for me as it sounds like for you. I tend to drive my car hard though so I'm often going down a gear at that RPM and then accelerating.

There have been other threads on this, but no root cause determined.

Yes, fourth too... a little less noticeable but there. I've also read that others have the same issue and are calling it normal. Maybe so, but I'd really like to know WHY?

Drive train harmonics combined with either too loose or too stiff transmission and engine mounts.

It's bound to wear out the mounts some, but that's probably about it. I am sort of waiting for an aftermarket company to figure it out and release new mounts to eliminate the issue. Might also help with drivetrain slop on/off throttle.

So you seem to think it is definitely the mounts huh? I was almost thinking it was some sort of exhaust resonance. But, if it does end up being the type of mounts being used, I would be all for an upgrade. Just not sure how we prove this until someone does the swap and compares. I just wonder if the OEM ones are too soft, or too hard. You would assume soft, but I would think that a hard one would be more prone to giving off those vibs? Also, curious if this is the case, if it is all of them, or just motor mounts, or just the trans mount...

Also seems to be on all SS's not just SS 1LE's as in the Motor Trend Head to Head with the SS vs M4 they mention some sort of NVH issue around 4000 rpm if I recall. They actually liked it though lol...for real.

So I asked on the Facebook group, and others say they can feel the same thing...

Can anybody else in here confirm they do infact feel this too?

I am thinking taking it to another dealer may be a waste of my time if this is infact "normal".

I feel it, but I thought I was too hard on the gas and spinning the rears. Now I am thinking not.

If you are spinning the tires in 3rd gear at 3500 rpm you must have quite a beast!

It definitely doesn't feel like wheel spin to me. It almost feels like a slight rumbling for a bit.

I have it as well, 3rd and 4th gear from around 3-4k. Just feels like drivetrain resonance to me, most likely driveshaft vibration. I don't think any harm will come of it.
