That's the one I had. And I did race a Gen5 V6 and beat it. Wish I had a shot against a gen6 now. There was a black gen5 Z28 that taught me a lesson though.

Yeah it was probably good for its time but it's good you don't anyone because the Camaro V6 now is just so damn good it would absolutely destroy your old Nissan.

In fact here's a video of a 2.0 Turbo Camaro killing a Nissan 350Z

You guys don't even need the 1LE to be more potent in handling, just some good tires.

I remember when that review came out - very interesting result. Giving up a couple tenths in the 0-60 for less weight over the front axle in favor of spending the 2.0T/V6 price difference on better tires seems like a pretty good deal. I prefer the exhaust note of the V6 (I rode in a co-worker's 6th gen 1LT V6 with NPP, and it sounds far better than my old 2010 1LT, even after I swapped the muffler for an MRT axle back), but it'd be tough to give up the performance advantage of the better balance of the 2.0T.

Yea the biggest competition for the LT V6 is it's 2.0T sibling. I definitely prefer the V6 sound over it. But if you are really wanting to mod, then the 2.0T can't be beat. They should have offered the 1LE for it too.

Yeah no one talks about the 2.0 Turbo but it is a fantastic little engine I've got no bones with them at all I'm not into Camaro on Camaro crime though. The whole reason I even got into a alpha platform Camaro was one day while driving around I just stopped and test-drove a 2.0 Turbo and I could not believe how well that car handled these cars really do handle like they're on Rails.

The thing with the six Gen is there is no bad Camaro they're all fantastic in their own right

Yeah that's the turbo Kickin It you can't get that not even with the V8 you need to have a turbo for that.

It's not just that you've hit max boost, the 2.0L also has more torque, which always makes a car feel quicker. I had one in an '09 Cobalt SS--I love that engine. Just a tune, bigger downpipe, and a bigger throttle body away from 320HP and 350TQ--not bad. With a turbo upgrade, bigger intercooler (and piping upgrades), combined with a tune would probably get you to Camaro SS numbers--with more torque. Forced induction is ****ing great! If you need a car to go fast in for cheap, you can't beat the 2.0L Camaro. I really want to turbo my SS now...and after looking at the Hellion system

Would be a mistake, not too...
should look at the 2.0 even if considering the V8. If you are going to mod.

If you want to mod a V6 all the components are there.

It puts out 450ish
