Just two SS 1LE instrumented road tests out there?

Am I correct in this thinking? Only Motor Trend and Car and Driver have done full instrumented road tests of these cars?

If not, who else did one?

I think so, I have seen other "first drives" and things like that, but those were not full tests.

TheSmokingTire did a review. If that counts for what your looking for.

I'd like to see an instrumented test too. I'd really be interested to see full test #'s against non-1LE SS and a C7 Stingray. Guessing the extra stick of the 305 rears might cut a tenth or two off straight line 0-60/100 times.

(GM does quote the 0-60 time as a tenth better. There must be like ten regular SS tests, to only two SS 1LE tests though, but on average the SS 1LE is maybe a tenth quicker. It seems mainly that it is easier/more consistent to launch, which is important in itself. But it's the handling/braking numbers that are a nice step up from SS to SS 1LE.)

I have both SS 1LE tests, these are the numbers...

0-60: MT 4.0/CD 4.1
1/4 ET: MT 12.4/CD 12.4
1/4 TRAP: MT 114.2/CD 116.0

SKIDPAD: MT 1.09/CD 1.05
BRAKING: MT 94 (60-0)/CD 141 (70-0)

Nobody has tested the top speed, but I remember reading in multiple first drive reviews that it was quoted as 186.

What issues of MT and CD are you referencing? I subscribe to both and can't recall any full test outside MT's car of the year test at Laguna, which I didn't remember having full instrumented numbers outside lap time.

A fun car. Hell, any car. My interest peaked a couple weeks ago and then transformed into frustration and now into ambivalence. If I had not already paid for this thing I'd bail and go grab a seriously discounted 2017 2SS from one of my local dealers. When GM eventually finds my 1LE and delivers it, I hope I feel like it was worth waiting for.

WAIT, the SS 1LE is worlds better than a regular SS if you are about performance.

Motor Trend did a full instrumented test during the Best Drivers Car. Scroll down to forth place and you will see all the stats. This was in the September issue if I recall.

Car and Driver also did a full instrumented test. I think this was in the October issue.
