Lovely watch - what a great purchase!

Although I am a tech geek and love everything Apple, there is still nothing better than a nice wristwatch when you go out. As dress codes get increasingly casual there are very few ways for new to stand out - watches and pens are two of the best ways for men to show their individuality.

HR Owen, the largest Rolls Royce dealer in the UK retrained their salesforce about 10 years ago. Historically they would judge a serious customer by the quality of their handmade suit. But these days Billionaires wear jeans and t shirts, so they had to recalibrate their assessment of their clients. The two things their sales people are trained to look for are watches and pens as the mega rich rarely compromise on either of those regardless of how casually they dress.

For me, I use an Apple watch when working at home, but when I am traveling I have an Omega, Tag Heuer, Jaeger LeCoultre, IWC and Bell & Ross to choose from. Also have a collection of old military and aerospace watches from the Russian, UK and US military that I have bought at auction and flea markets. Guess I am spoiled for choice :-)

Very nice but the $3600 price tag is stopping me from getting one.

Here is the 44mm ChronoSport $3,600 - $3,900

http://camarocollection.com/camaro-f...less-44mm.html

or the 47mm ChronoScope ~$4,500 - $6,500
(may have to go directly to Ernst Benz for these if still available) PM if you want a number.

That is also a 44mm ChronoSport versus the 47mm ChronoScope.

They make a beautiful watch.

There was a time when I was set to purchase one, CF face...mmmmmmmm.

But like most things, when you start collecting and realize the cost of good pieces, well I stopped collecting.

I have several nice watches, but I will say most of my 20 or so Seikos and Citizens are worth about $0.

I hear you can't even give an old watch away at a garage sale as no one buys them. I think it's sad. Damn cell phones..............wait I need that new iphone X or 10 or whatever for $1,200 NOW.

Wonderful watch and very cool it's personalized. Now you have to keep the car forever.........or hope someone that likes watches a lot buys your car

Cruises are great places to by watches. I've done the same and still wearing them.

The watch will be my Fifty keepsake and the car will probably be gone within a year or so.
Ran into the right people at the right time at Woodward when these were just being announced so lucky to get #2.
Neither purchased as an investment but the Ernst Benz watches I've seen at least hold some value down the line.

Just like my nice cars, I can use them every day and when I am ready for something new, I get ALL of my $$$ back that I spent during my ownership. Yeah yeah, I am 50 years old, but I wish I knew ^^^^ this when I was 25.
They aren't worth 3x as much if you wear them everyday--that decreases value. I'm just curious as to what you have that's worth 3x as much.

Citizens, Luminox & Tags aren't nice watches. Rolex, AP, Panerai, Hublot, Omega, etc are nice watches.
