Same issue GM just letting us down on things like this is the same old crap you'd think with the price increase they'd have better quality control.

I just noticed mine is doing the same thing as of today. Yay! I do like the idea of the u channel molding to cover it up, at least until the headliner is revised. I don't want the next headliner to just do the same thing down the road. It was fine until now.

I started to do some research to find a soft "u" channel to slip over the leading edge. Need to look into it but do plan on doing this instead of dealing with the dealer.

Please let me know if you find some that works! I don't want anyone to pull things off my car unless there's a revised part or it's something serious. This is mostly minor. As long as it doesn't get worse I'm fine with using u channel molding to make it look better.

+1

I don't think the dealer can fix it so it's pointless taking it in :/

Sorry for Reviving this old post

Hey guys, apologies for reviving this old post. I searched everywhere for someone to try out the u-channel thing and couldn't find anything so i decided to do it myself!

Here is what I did ... I bought two different rubber trims and ended up liking the second one more. It was more discrete and a lot smoother. I bought 1 meter of trim and it was a tad bit too short but not enough for me to care. The install wasn't difficult, just annoying.

Enjoy guys!
