At least the shifter is good in the 6th gen unlike the 5th gen. If MGW or TWM came out with a shifter for the 6th gen i would buy it but I can live with this one.

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

I want to replace mine with a simple white round knob with the shift pattern in black on top and "SS" in black on the sides.

Does anyone know of any companies besides SpeedDawg?, They quoted me $100 just for that shifter knob.

I think thats way over priced so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

May not be that sporty looking but its more comfortable than the hard white ball.

EPCO for sure. They have ton of different options. Have had a couple of them on previous cars and was very pleased.

Lets face it the shifters in modern cars are just not as cool looking as the old long stem bent shifters from vintage iron. That being said our shifters are more comfortable though. Its a tradeoff. But a shifter is still a shifter and still fun.

I had a plastic ball on my old shifter and my hand kept slipping off when my palm sweated and made it impossible to grip until I pulled off the road to clean my hand with Kleenex.

It does not screw off as there are no threads. There is a torx screw that holds it on to the shaft. You need to pull out the boot or entire trim to get at it. There should be a couple how to videos on youtube. I've had mine off many times to paint the shifter bezel.

I like the stock shifter knob so far. I have had other Camaros over the years that I changed the shifters from stock to Hurst with the cue ball knob though. I really liked the Hurst shifter in my 5th Gen. At this time I am going to keep the stock shifter and leather covered knob in my 6Gen.
