Correction, I have seen reports of the Shelby doing a 12.2 in the quarter at best. But that is still almost a full second slower.

Obviously you didn't. Because if you Google "17 ZL1 quarter mile" then the first few results will have the test where it ran an 11.4. So you can play ignorant if you want. And you can try to act like it isn't there if you searched. But it doesn't change the fact that these cars bone stock have posted 11.4-11.6. Now I corrected myself and said the GT350R posted a 12.2 which was faster than the 12.4 I originally said. If you're too stubborn to face facts or to look it up for yourself as easy as it would be to find then you have no right to challenge or doubt me. And if you don't give 2 shits then you shouldn't have questioned me or tried to argue it in the first place. So go your way.

Actually most are running low 12s if you look at the manual runs here in the forum. There are very few 11s on the stock rubber. Not surprising trying to launch a 650/650 car on street rubber is going to lead to alot of frustration. The car will need DRs to show its potential. Funny thing is all this claim to fame for track duty yet nobody takes the car to the track, I went back like 15 pages and nothing other than general conversation. Just like the 5th Gen ZL1 the focus of the forum is 1/4 mile and street.

I do road race over drag. Been sucking up break in miles. Getting the fluids changed over shortly for 8/7 Autobahn day in Joliet. Hoping to do Road America as well in October

It's generally easier for teens before and immediately after getting their freshly-minted licenses to understand how to drive a car fast in a straight line than to know what it takes to drive it fast - and cleanly - around the corners. Let's not overlook the fact that driving that's brutal/harsh/noisy/smoky simply puts up a more exciting show for the onlookers. Been that way since before I started driving (early 1960's). Norm
