So I've got to ask, for those of you who have VINs and who's car's are "built" what does that usually mean in terms of how long till you are in the drivers seat? It's June 15th today, will you have your car in 4 weeks? Less? Does it matter where in the US you are relative to the factory?

It depends on quality control, firstly...if they hold the cars for an extended time to check them out...that takes days, maybe weeks.

Otherwise, the shipping process and time will depend on your location relative to the plant....(how far, and do they have to put it on a train, or a truck?)....and what other vehicle traffic is going that general direction...because they won't send out a truck or rail car that is less than full...

For example, the blue 2017 ZL1 I ordered was assigned a VIN on March 3, and was at the Tom Henry Chevy, cleaned up and on display by March 9. But that dealer is in Pennsylvania, about 345 miles away.

Becky and Rodgers Chevrolet is even closer - I think Ofer said 50-some miles away. So, theoretically, she can get them in even less time.

Yet, Mike Lee (mlee) had a white ZL1 that took the better part of two weeks to get on and off a rail car to get down to Texas.

Mostly, I guess the real answer is it's a gigantic variable that no one can predict. And as a bonus, since the ZL1 1LE is brandy new, it may be subject to extra scrutiny and QC which will delay it a bit longer than normal.

Basically I'm going to gauge it on you because I think you have the very first VIN I saw assigned so just keep us all informed and we shall live vicariously through your purchase/delivery...

Sorry Joe, 4300 is lot movement.... you need 4200..... 4B00 is parked and 4300 is lot movement...... 4200 is shipped..... on the bright side it looks like you may have #2.....

Rodger's Chevrolet is about 100 miles from LGR... about a two hour roadtrip......

My ZL1 shipped late in the day and arrived early the next morning..... usually a 2 hour delivery.....

...other lot = off the factory property -
a holding area - that is used prior to shipping.

BTW:
6000 Status = Delivered...
