I don't think you'd think it's too stiff if you are used to sporty cars. My 82-year-old mother has ridden in it once and commented that she liked it because you don't "feel the road" as much as in my other past sports cars. I commute 20 miles into Washington, DC in mine and it's fine. A regular SS with MRC is probably better riding, but this isn't bad at all. I also think the shifter/clutch is very good, contrary to what that article says.
Thanks a bunch, that's exactly the type of feedback I was looking for. Stiffer but compliant shocks in the v6 1le surprise me in that you mention the SS 1le being stiffer with the MRC. I guess it shouldn't since they biased it towards pure performance. They the magazines describe it seems like it is magical (perhaps for the performance) but I was starting to think that it also somehow gave a ride that was almost normal. I think I'd be able to live with either. Thanks again.

With sticks and clutches I guess I'm more tolerant than magazine reviewers. They get to try everything. For me, if I can always get the gear I'm looking for, don't have any strange grinds, I'm ok. Since that is my criteria I often feel econo-box sticks, as devoid of feel as they are, are just fine.

I think the v6 might be less fussy to live with as a daily driver in terms of upkeep and running costs. I mean, I could daily a SS 1LE but it's kinda like daily driving a Evo X.
