If you think about it there is no way to stop this from happening in the rain. Turning it off is the only way. Radar is simply looking for an object. Enough rain or water puddle splash is in fact an object to the radar. The dealers should be telling you the same thing. There is nothing wrong with it.

I have this problem a lot in the rain, but it is only on the driver's side.

Tim - I agree with you in principle that any object with enough density could fool the sensor, but I am interested why the drivers side seems more susceptible than the passenger side - seems to be the same for some others that have posted here also.

The earlier poster is also correct - the rear parking sensors are different to the blind spot detection sensors. The blind spot sensors are hidden behind the panels and therefore are not visible nor cleanable.

Thanks

Mark

Not sure on that. I know if I pay attention mine seems to be random on both sides in the rain. It might have to do with the left side sensor is not the same as the right side. It contains the control module for both sides.
Please do not take my post as saying I have troubleshot your vehicles specifically and can say there is no issue with them. Taking it in and having it looked at for operation is the only way to do that.
However, rain will fool the object detection and it is normal for this to happen. The feature is programed to try its best to not detect stationary objects like a tree or guard rail etc. This is done by the speed of the object v/s your vehicle speed. Hence the reason rain or water is picked up as an object in the sensor area and is seen as traveling at a similar speed as you are. However, it is normal that it may alert to something you pass by from time to time as well.
If you really watch it you can see some neat things. If you are passing a slow moving vehicle traveling in the same direction with enough of a speed variant it will not alert.

The only reason I thought it was an issue is because it has never done this on any other vehicle I've ever owned, rain or shine. It's not the end of the world, but I'm curious if this is just something extremely common on our cars or not. This thread isn't massive so I feel as though this might not be as common (or should happen) as people are saying.

as TimsZ28 said, there is 'no way to stop this from happening in the rain'... I find that hard to believe if I've never seen another vehicle do this!
