I have the noise. Honestly I don't drive the car a whole lot it really doesn't bother me especially when the radio is on I can't hear it and I don't do a ton of highway miles.

Yes, but we paid $30k+ for our cars. We shouldn't have whistles and shit.

I'm very curios as well to know what the buy offer was relative to loan amount/value

can someone give a little more clarify around what you are doing to fix the issue? how do you twist a mirror without breaking it? I'm not questioning it, I believe whatever you guys are doing seems to help. But how did you arrive at this approach? How did you know which way to even twist or push it? And were you not worried about breaking the mirror or damaging the door?

I have an MRT exhaust and bose. The only thing I ever hear that's not coming out of the two of those things are body panels vibrating from those two things.

Is there a certain method to do doing this like a certain way to hold it while turning it? I would hate to break anything. Mine is on the driver's side. I taped the front of the mirror and the noise went away. I'm assuming clockwise for the driver's side.

Might be a good idea to post your service receipt from the dealership showing the fix and what they said was the problem so others can take a copy in just black out your info.

If it is a true GM buyback ( as GM also does trade assistance where the dealer is stuck with your car and has to sell it) then GM takes what you paid and subtracts for mileage and wear/tear and makes the offer based on that.

It is negotiable on the reduction amount though. When I was getting GM to buy my 2014 Sierra back they went with the dealer trade option with trade assistance since I wanted another truck. Dealer made trade offer, I gave them the amount I wanted for the truck and GM kicked in a trade in rebate to make the numbers work.

Ditto nbryant! Agree totally. If people don't stop complaining about every noise or thing about this Gen6 then I wouldn't be surprised if Chevy doesn't just say screw it and not build a Gen7! And LesBaer, that's a good reply! Love it!!
