Right, there is no true way measure the best nor will there be, just to many variables. Many products will work great. I know a lot about lubricants so like to help educate people interested in listening.

Yeah I certainly don't think mobile one is the end-all Cure all.I read Bobistheoilguy.com for years and came away the conclusion that this is just the subject of people like to argue about oils kind of like wax. I've also sent away to Blackstone, and an engine with 5000 miles, and 50,000 miles. I don't think there's a major national brand oil out there in the right spec that won't work in your car if you're not a track fanatic or building race engines. It's just a ridiculous argument when oil is made to go 15 to 20,000 miles, and we're changing it in 3 to 5. Of course it's gonna work. And frankly I don't know anybody to keep their cars 500,000 miles when you possibly you could tell a difference. Best advice is Pick a nationally known oil meet your spec, and change it on a regular interval. I personally look what's the sale at Walmart between Valvoline, mobile1, and Pennzoil.

I learned my lesson back when I was working for BMW as a corporate rep and some secretary brought her car and that was it was an M3 lease and she had NEVER changed/added oil in 18,000 miles. Oil was completely gelled around the crankshaft and valve cover, all jello, no more liquid in the engine of any type. And when we pulled all the specs for the top and bottom and they were still within spec.,

It's just a fun thing to do to argue about oils.

All just my opinion

Bobistheoil guy is a great source for keyboard oil Rambos too. I just bought the AC Delco 5/30 full synthetic Dexos oil for $3.78 a quart. I don't see how I can go wrong when it will be changed again in 5000 miles. That's as cheap as the Walmart Supertech 5w/30 synthetic! It too is Dexos approved. There are so many nutswingers of every product, you'll be dazed and confused thinking you're getting pertinent facts to help decide what to buy.

Just took my '16 2SS in for first oil change. They charged me $49 for the full syn. They still claim they use blended oil without the upgrade cost.
I doubt they really know. Not worth the time arguing.
