Thanks for the info and for the peace of mind. This is my first quick car...first car ever in fact as I've owned tahoes and trucks in the past. I don't know what the numbers would say, but after installing the cai and punching it a bit, this little I4 absolutely flies. Thanks again for all the help - this is a great community.

New to the forum, but figured I'd chime in on my experience. I installed an Injen CAI on my 17 the other day and had the same issue. I didn't do any research to know it was a special type of clamp, so I just took a tiny flathead screwdriver and basically pried up on the tiny tab facing the front of the car. Popped right off. Granted, I couldn't quite get it to lock onto the Injen but I've put about 300 miles on it and it hasn't moved so I'll call that a win. Also, no CEL at all.

My clip broke as well ( as I am sure I have said in about 10 other threads) but no CEL. I would agree with the MAF issue. I didnt remove the MAF sensor itself but the whole housing and I had no issues at all aside from the clip. I got some heat resistant engine bay safe "electrical tape" and it is doing just fine. There are no electronics with the PCV so a CEL there would be surprising unless you cracked the connector and not just the clip, thereto leading to an airflow code.

Yes welcome bomber!! Yeah the turbo community is really taking off. We officially now have more posts AND threads than the V6 section. GM are you watching this? Build stage packages, and buyers will come.

Thank you as well Michigan1LTRS. I couldn't agree more. GM would be smart to show that these cars ARE modifiable, and that simply because it is the base, doesn't mean you are getting the bottom of the totem pole if you are willing to mod. Sort of like the Cobalt SS SC/TC with the dealer stage kits.

Well, I am a few days in with the CAI installed and the CEL has not returned. I am absolutely loving this thing. For less than 400 bucks, this is an enormous upgrade to the entire driving experience. Anyone who is on the fence with whether to install this - DO IT.

I'll be the first to admit, I had some buyers remorse for not going with the V6 at first. I bought a 17 when they were very first released, and there were not yet any V6's on the lot. For awhile, I had wished I had been more patient. Those regrets have now completely disappeared and I absolutely love the I4.

Great to hear. These turbo's are indeed a great platform. We are just at the tip of the iceberg for these gems. Exciting stuff for sure.

2017 Chevy Camaro 2.0 turbo CAI

Sooooo I have a 2017 camaro 2.0 turbo and just recently installed an Injen Evolution CAI. I got the stock one out and crankcase fitting off but I’m having a hard time getting the crankcase fitting to snap into my new CAI. I know our 17 camaro’s are a bit more difficult with this compared to the 16’s. Any idea on how to get it to snap on successfully??? Any help is greatly appreciated

Make sure you did not accidentally snap one of the tabs. I snapped mine quite easily. If you haven't, give it a pretty firm press down. What exactly are you having an issue with? Is it not reaching the male side? Mine would have clicked right in had I not broken the tabs.

None of the tabs are broken from what I’ve seeen. I just can’t get the fitting over the part on the intake that tapers out. I’ve pressed firmly and even tapped with a rubber mallet (which was a little nerve racking) stil cant get it to snap on.
