SS 1LE skid Pad and slalom stats
My buddy thinks a car he no longer even owns (Scion FRS / Sub BRZ / Toyota 86) can "out handle" my 1LE "all day long".
Can someone please help me slap him in the face!

The SS 1LE does 1.02 lateral g's on the skipad
The Brz does 0.88 g's It's not even close, here are my references to prove it. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1...package/page-3 https://www.edmunds.com/subaru/brz/2...st-specs2.html |

He probably means in subjective handling feel. Although I wasn't too impressed with the FRS suspension, I wouldn't mind if we could have a 1LE in that smaller size.
If we all liked the same things life would be boring.. Last edited by WhyUMad1LE; 04-12-2017 at 03:25 PM. |

Also show him this. My first AutoX event I ran faster than the fastest FR-S in D street. I also believe he was running the Auto X preferred Bridgestone RE-71 R's. He clearly is an excellent driver as he won his class by over 5.5 seconds but he still couldn't out run my bone stock SS 1LE with a VERY GREEN Novice at the wheel. I'm pretty sure everyone would admit that Auto X is also an event that would favor the FR-S.

I had a SC'd BRZ and it was heavily modded for track days. Not even close to a stock 1LE in any way you can think of
1LE is just in a whole another league

I have a Miata on extreme performance tires so I can compare my 1LE to it which is a fair comparison for this argument. The 1LE is 3700lbs and BRZ/86 is ~2800lbs (Miata 2200) that fact alone the BRZ/86 will leave the 1LE behind with equal tire setups in tight and lots of changes in direction type corners(totd/autox) The 1LE will absolutely destroy the BRZ/86 is any larger radius turns/straight aways(most tracks) This is the fact of life and is why Miatas beat Corvettes and Camaros at Autocross alot of the time. Also remember Every month is a different course layout so sometimes it might favor lighter cars others times faster cars. Both cars are awesome but physics is still physics |
