Made it easy to get my new car price locked in and got what I was asking for my trade. They kept me in the loop on my order.. When the car showed up they only did what I asked and kept all the plastic from the seats trim and had it ready when I came in away from the shopping traffic. I think my wife thought it was too easy for future buys

As far as the options I had owned a loaded 2SS GEN5 so I had a pretty good idea of what I was wanting to get this time after owning the older one and reading post here.

Here what I got this time:

- 2SS
- Hyper Blue with Pearl white Rally Strips
- Kalahari Interior
- Navigation
- Battery Protection Package
- NPP
- Spilt Spoke Silver Rims
- Upgraded Floor Mats with Camaro embroidered on them
- 8 Speed Auto

You have pretty close to what I want but I do want the MRC. Someone mentioned the blue and Kalahari aren't a good match but I think they are a good match looking at photos. How do they look in person?

Ordered car

After having bad experiences with multiple dealerships one of whom I placed a deposit on a car that came close to my desired options I'm glad I backed out and went to the dealership that was the least aggressive towards pushing a lot car on me. The car I placed a deposit on was being driven by everyone at the dealership and for what these things cost that is unacceptable to me. Just knowing my car came in with 3 miles on delivery to me versus 300+ on the lot car was worth the wait and any extra funds spent. Knowing I got it just the way I wanted was big for me.

To each their own..... not fond of Kalahari in a blue car..... someone on the forum best described it as peanut butter colored... seeing it in person that would best describe it in my opinion...... seen it in Garnet Red and it looked good.....

I ordered mine, very good experience from a local dealer that I have been buying from for 10 + years. Ordered months before production of the 6th gen from the sales manager, got supplier pricing, Farm Bureau discount and a couple of other discounts dealer had, saved about $5k off sticker, and I was one of the first 6th gen deliveries anywhere, took delivery in December of 2015. Not bad, got exactly what I wanted, some headaches, but mainly from GM/Chevy and transport companies involved.

I live in Huntsville, AL and when I ordered a ZL1 the dealer hear told me they had no idea how many allocations they would get and wouldn't honor the pricing I wanted (GM Military Discount). So, knowing that Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas is a "volume dealer" (confirmed by the ordering manager in Huntsville) I ordered my car from Classic in December '16, they agreed to the Military Discount.
As I wanted an Automatic i had to wait until February when the production line started. Classic was cagey with the numbers but initially told me I was number six waiting for an automatic. months rolled by and I got no information from them as to the number of allocations for automatics they got each month and where I stood in line (#6 in feb, #5 in march, etc.).
The last allocations came out this past week and I'm told that Classic received no A10 (automatic) allocations. I was the last guy standing waiting on an A10....
So, out of morbid curiosity, I called the ordering manager here in Huntsville. He offered to sell me an A10 he had with a TPW but no buyer.... Car is black with a couple of options I don't want. Told him "no thank you, I'm not spending $65K on a car that isn't even the color i want".
Needless to say I'm pissed that Classic was so cagey with the information - I had to call them to get any information along the way. But, they are a volume dealer, they sell a lot of cars. Had I known that Classic wouldn't get it done I would have gone back to the dealer here and got the car I wanted.
Bottom line, if you know what you want go to a dealer you trust and one that isn't just looking to sell you a car. Tell them up front you want regular updates and don't let's treat you like a mushroom. My .02.

Ordered mine through dealer in town, was a great experience. Dealer took care of me and still does. After having the car for almost 7 months now, I wish I would have ordered with a few more options, but I'm still very happy with the car.

I ordered mine, got just what I wanted and it was just for me - no one else test drove it or messed around in it. After talking to a half dozen or so dealers/salespeople I found one that I was happy with and worked for me, ended up having a really good experience with him. Got a decent price and then a bunch of money off in incentives & discounts. He was honest and good at communicating and it only took about 6 weeks. I would do it again the same way

Well, I love it. Some have said they are not fond of the color but everyone has their own taste. I first saw the Kalahari in a Corvette and thought it look great. I think it is a good color combo with the Hyper Blue. I was lucky the dealer I bought from here in town is very large and had about 75 Camaros on the lot at the time. They had that color combo in a RS for me to see in person before I bought it. Here is a picture of mine.. that looks like every other picture LOL

Hyper Blue with Kalahari interior is the best color combo offered on the 6th gen in my opinion. I wanted a 1SS though, so could not get it.

My first Dealer I went to was a NIGHTMARE to say the least. I was trading in a 2015 Toyota Tacoma 4 X 4 Sport with less than 8,000 miles on it. He gave me a "fair" price for it. When he wrote up the paperwork, he said "just sign here and you got the car of your dreams"......... Having purchased numerous new cars, and this being the first GM, I actually READ it before signing it. He gave me $4,000 less on my truck than we agreed on! I was pi$$ed to say the least and walked. When I got home, he called and apologized, said he would up it another $2,000 (still $2,000 short of the original agreed price). I ran into a new neighbor of mine who just happened to have purchased a brand new ZL1 from very good friend of his, who was a Sales Associate at another Dealership. I called him, and without even seeing my truck, offered me $2,000 MORE than the original Dealership did. Needless to say, within 30-minutes I drove there, and ordered my car.

So my end result I was exceptionally happy, and will definitely return to this Dealership. I am currently looking for a winter car, and they happen to have a 2014 LT Cruise on their lot with low mileage. Heading there tomorrow to have a look at it.

I think it boils down to the Sales person. I have also referred several people to where I purchased my Camaro, and they have also bought a new vehicle from him.

So overall, it started off as a bad experience, and ended up VERY positive.

Since mine was a pretty common 1SS, and Becky's dealership is about 90 miles from the factory, it took less than 5 weeks, but times can vary.

Same here! And yes I second that, give her a call or a PM.

It does not matter, she delivers nationwide! I live in Memphis, TN. I flew in and drove mine home. Was THE BEST car buying experience I have EVER had. My next Chevy will be with her again.
