Red Devil's Rebel's Car Journal - My Project Panther

Hi all!!

So, figured I'd take advantage of this feature that the forum offers to keep track of the story of my car.

First I want to say thank you to those who provide and run this forum, the moderators, and all the other members. You connect with so many cool people and I learn a lot by being on here - listening to and talking with you all -

My 6th Gen Camaro is my 2nd brand new car (1st was the car I'm coming from now - 2005 Saturn ION3 Quad Coupe), and my 1st Camaro!
I've admired them afar for a long time and started wanting one for real when the 5th gen came out. Glad I waited though - I LOVE these cars! And I'm glad I decided on a 2017 - got to forgo the debut year and hopefully most of the bugs, and got to get in on the 50th anniversary year of our car - cool!!
(PS: If you are familiar with Camaro history, this being my 1st Camaro and it being the 50th anniversary year will kind of explain why I chose "Panther" in my thread title... unless/until I come up with something I like better for her name )

I knew it was really gonna happen when I decided to start putting money away about a year and a half ago to slowly save up for a down payment.
It was becoming clear about that time too that it would be a good time to move on from my Saturn. As much as I loved it (and I'm really gonna miss those little suicide doors!), and she did still run & drive, she was starting to show her age and start to have more & more little things go wrong.

Over the final 6/7 months or so of my wait I started buying stuff for my car. Mostly things I had learned about from being here. Since I knew I wanted/needed this stuff anyway I figured doing it this way would keep it exciting during the wait and also help spread out the costs.
Here's the pile o'stuff I have accumulated that is waiting patiently in my apartment with me for my car...

After all the time I'd spent drooling over these cars, I knew just what I wanted. I liked the idea of ordering a car rather than getting one off the lot - I wasn't in a rush, I could get just what I wanted, and it would be just for me (no test drives, abuse, etc).

Here's what I ordered:
2017 2LT RS ~ V6 Auto
Gray Painted Split Spoke Wheels, Hyper Blue Metallic/Jet Black, Black Hash Marks & Black Bowties
Painted Splash Guards, Wing Spoiler, Sunroof
Technology & Lighting Pkg, NAV

Here's my Event History:
28/Jan/2017 - Ordered/1100, 1102
1/Feb/2017 - 2000, 2500, 3000
3, 7, 10/Feb/2017 - 3100
6/Feb/2017 - 3100/TPW of 27/Feb/2017
11/Feb/2017 - 3300
13/Feb/2017 - 3400
24/Feb/2017 - 3800*BUILT!*, 4000, 4150
27/Feb/2017 - 4200
(the above status began the car's shipping journey. from Feb 27 to the day it was delivered to the dealer [below] on Mar 13 it took 2 trains and a truck ride [with waiting in between stops] which were represented by a variety of many 4200's, 4300's, 4B00's, and a 4800)
13/Mar/2017 - 5000
20/Mar/2017 - 6000 - she's home!!

First, I put on the stickers the I got from Southern Car Parts to cover up those unsightly yellow airbag warning stickers - much better!

Here's a before & after (well, a "mid and after" really, since I only remembered to take the before after I'd already put one side on... oops, lol!)
