Street car is a loose definition, a smart car is a street car, but most people don't consider a smart car, a car at all.

I agree but no where near as bad as this abortion. First time I saw a pic of these cars I honestly thought it was a photoshopped joke.

Since I'm dreaming, If the wing would function at about half the current height as it is now, I very well have been tempted to wait on the 1le, as it's growing on me even with it so tall right now.
I agree on both counts. I would love to have the wider wheels and tires, even if they were the same design as the base ZL1. If they were the 1LE design, I'd prefer the grayish color from the base model.

I really love the design of the 1LE wing and especially the exposed carbon finish, but think I'd also prefer it about half the height. It may look fine the way it is once you see it in person. Who knows. The best option would be if it were adjustable, both height and pitch.

Interestingly...that wing was tested at different heights for the best effect. They raised it to its current height to maximize it's effect.

Aerodynamics is a fickle thing...

I'm sure that is true and will take your word at face value although I could personally care less about some test track on the other side of the world. As onlookers shake their heads in the real world, 1 person in 100,000 will know that this ridiculous looking wing is there to achieve a more favorable "Ring" time. I can just see a bunch of high school seniors foaming at the mouth over the looks of this car.

Then perhaps both of us! Good luck!

My fingers are crossed, and staying that way until I take delivery.

"Onlookers shake their head in the real world.", "1 in 100,000"

Damatic-much? I get that you don't like it...and I respect that opinion...but c'mon.

As far as the high school comment...if that is true - then they did it right; Chevy, Camaro, and Corvette need the young buyer to fall in love.

Some of those same onlookers paint their calipers red to look cool too. Lol. Real posers. Nobody has to like my car but me.

I wonder if anybody has ever bought a car based on its "Ring Time".
