Funny thing is that most of us that are saying it looks "too young" or is only for "youngsters", are failing to realize that most of the people that were putting huge wings on their 1995 Eclipses and 1989 Civics . . . are now in their late 30s and 40s.

Youngsters these days drive a Kia Souls or Toyota Yaris. If you want to NOT look like them, just don't put 400 treadwear 165-width tires on your Vette.

On a second note, I know that GM has done a lot of "ticky tacky stickon" stuff in years past that do nothing (fake 2nd exhaust pipe on the 'vette) and it turns people off to GM and that kind of stuff in general. But, the ZL1 1LE with the wing and other aero bits are completely functional and have been used before by even other car makers. So this ZL1 1LE option will really make a difference in track times at the higher speeds, not so much on 0-60 or 1/4 mile(maybe a little). IMO

I'm all for this while racing, but not on my DD... next time you got DD's looking like this winged car and owners saying... "well at least I can reach 300 mph!"

I don't mind fit for purpose, but size matters... LOL.

I like it too! It's kinda like the wheels to me. Looks much better in person. Not that it looks bad in pics.

Stupid cars with wings look stupider.

Fast cars with wings look (and are) faster.

Love those pics of the fast cars and you are 100% right - they look even better with the wings.

I think I like this theory...."Wings Amplify"....whether the car is stupid or fast...they amplify.

Very nice perspective.....and I would have to agree. Makes perfect sense

I accept it for its functionality but for street use don't love it. I'll be more impressed when GM designs a nice active aero spoiler that also gives you the performance benefit.

I always liked the zl1 wheels from day one too amigo, and this was right when I found the car & joined here...strangely for me, there were so many posts about how there were no rim options, wheels are blah & multiple threads on swapping / after market, etc. Guess I'm easy or have the same flavor as the designers?? I really dig them.

I also love the wheels on the 1le & are solid on the eyes... would like to see that same size / width / style on the current zl1 rim in a 19 & the stance just for grins to compare. That would menacing I reckon.

Since I'm dreaming, If the wing would function at about half the current height as it is now, I very well have been tempted to wait on the 1le, as it's growing on me even with it so tall right now.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to me this wing is a work of art.
