Not an expert on the subject myself but my own impaired logic would suggest having the cutout right at the DP or Headers would negate this issue period corner carver the amount of pressure coming from the exhaust at that point wouldn't be affected by any miniscule turbulence.

I think the turbulence would be much greater than miniscule... I know it's not a true 'Y' in the pipe, but still...could make for an interesting test.

I doubt it would make a difference. Like Evil B said, placement is everything.

I'll agree to disagree on this one... Without testing all of us are just guessing anyways; unless you have actually played around with this therory Chicago?

Wait, so the catted downpipe is not low enough emissions to be considered 50-state legal? Not that it pertains to me (no emissions testing in FL).

I think that solely depends on the state regulations we have emissions in NH but my hi-flo catted downpipe passes without issue.

I say that because on their website, they claim that it is a race-only product.

probably to sate any liability issues down the road. By saying the product is for race only they pretty much obsolve themselves of any financial backlash should it cause an engine failure etc.

One of my biggest curiosities is when I get on the dyno to do pulls with my cutout open and closed. Should be interesting.
