Oh ok, I will try it in Sport Mode. The only issue with PTM 3 is you may not get full power, and PTM 5 turns off stability control. So if you got really lose on the drag strip it would be all you lol...but that would be good if the track was really prepped well.

Seems like Sport Mode and Competitive Mode is the best choice for the drag strip (TC off, SC on)...plus the slightly softer suspension setting (compared to Track Mode) will allow better weight transfer on launch.

Trust me, PTM mode 5 (Race) does not turn stability control completely off. It just backs it way off, but it is still there if the car gets too sideways. I've tested that out in my old '13 ZL1 and my 1LE. I've posted the PDR footage from my car around the track and you can see the little stability control icon flash while I was in mode 5 (race).

Only way to COMPLETELY disable stability control is to hold the TC button down for 8+ seconds in any of the modes (snow/ice, tour, sport, track).

I think I just rolled 900 miles Sunday...car is 3 months old. But, isn't yours your daily driver? Mines not...plus I picked it up the day before Christmas Eve, had the holidays, was in the Keys two weeks, had two weddings, just been busy on the weekends. Heck, that 900 was hard to do! Time should free up more soon, and sometimes if it's nice I take it to work on Fridays. Probably will do about 3000-4000 miles a year.

Oh, okay...the performance supplement says it's off in PTM 5, liars!

Much confusion about 'drive modes' vs 'features':

In Sport or Track, you can DISABLE all computer 'enhancements' by holding down the TC button for 5 seconds.

That disables TCS and Active Handling. It enables launch control. FFS (flat-foot shifting is always available).

In SPORT, one press disables traction control (you can spin the tires). Two presses enables Competition Mode.

TRACK remaps the throttle position sensor and the steering. One press disables traction control. Two presses enables PTM and gives you access to the PTM selection screen. Launch control is enabled now.

Manual is marginally helpful. Go find a deserted parking lot and experiment. Or take it to AutoX/Track like I did at 1,556 miles.

Not my daily but I pretty much drive it whenever the weather is nice. Originally I intended on driving my truck to work 3-4 days a week and then driving the 1LE the leftover days and weekends. But that quickly turned into driving the 1LE 3-4 days a week haha I just can't bring myself to not drive it most days!!!

FFS doesn't appear to be working on my car. I've been going over 30mph and tried to get it to work, but yea, didn't work. Any thoughts?

Agree, time for a large empty parking lot... and a little experimenting

This is the first car I have had, which will force me to be a better driver or maybe expand my capability is a better way to describe it..

You're probably subconsciously lifting...many have done that as No Lift Shift isn't what we are exactly used to lol.

:whs:

I found it incredibly disconcerting the first few times I tried.
