Hi, have new 2017 1LE. I have most of this figured out, but maybe I'm reading the manual wrong.

1) Line lock, followed this step by step, never get the prompt in the option menu, page 21 and 22 of hp supplement manual.
2) Launch control, this is simply enabled when in various modes? The manual has page 19, 20, but that is zl1 only, correct? 1LE launch control is page 28?


Again, can get it to the PTM modes wet, dry, etc... Also double tapped and put in competition mode.

Sure I'm just doing something wrong. Also, I'm focusing on learning the various configurations, and need another 900 miles of break in.

Appreciate someone's insight on this...

Launch control only works when competition mode is on. I know it can be used in track, not sure (haven't tried) if it can be turned on in sport mode too though.

Thanks, launch control appears to be automatic on our car when in the correct mode, but configurable on ZL1...

The manual could use a bit more work on details and format.

Appreciate the help, was going nuts on pushing buttons.

This is an amazing car, just took the neighbor for a ride, he was shocked composed the car feels and handles.

I have yet to find the launch control on mine, I breezed thru the manual though and could have missed it.

If it's anything like my old 2015 SS (JUST SS!) then once you're in Competitive Mode launch control is active. Dead stop, clutch in, gas pedal to the floor. Will hold RPMs at a pre-determined rev limit. It was around 4,000 in my 2015 SS as I recall.

All of what he said + steering wheel must be straight. Only a few degrees off center is enough to inhibit. (Ask me how I know)

No, Competitive Mode works in Sport as well. I use it all the time around town. Just two pushes of the TC button while in Sport mode.

Okay, I hit the TC button twice quickly while in track mode, I saw the competitive mode screen pop up for like a split second, then the PTM settings came up? So on the SS 1LE competitive mode and PTM have to be on at the same time? While that is fine for track use, I wouldn't want PTM on at say, the drag strip. Can competitive mode be turned on, without PTM? Or does PTM show up on the screen, but if you don't select it you aren't using it? I have only used competitive mode in my buddies regular SS (no PTM), so this is very different lol.

With the car in Sport the Competitive mode works just like on a regular SS. When in track it is basically replaced by the PTM modes. I know I saw that the recommended PTM modes for Launch control is 3 or 5.
