What's everybody paying for full frontal protection and rear quarter panel protection? (Minus hood) I'm getting my paint coated and sealed next week, then getting protection film after.

Xpel - I did full front bumper/hood, full front fenders (which go up to the hood), rocker panels (factory PPF removed and replaced for more coverage), and a small piece behind the rear wheel. $1200. Also keep in mind the price will wildly fluctuate based on the quality of the installer, get a recommendation, check yelp, check out the shop (make sure it's got a clean room, etc.). Some installers try and do this outside which is nuts.

Xpel Ultimate, I did the whole nose and lower rockers (removed factory PPF, and replaced with larger pieces)...$600.

Did your hood? How does it look with the wrap?

Sorry, should clarify, when I say hood I mean the painted horizontal piece in front of the hood itself. I didn't put anything on top of the wrap.

Well I had the lower 1/4 replaced with PPF to the top of the lower 1/4 panel.. and guess what, got 3 chips on the rear 1/4 above the lower 1/4.

Along with 4 chips on the bumper and lip.. The xpel is doing its job n taking a beating.. its now white from multiple impacts.

Oh well, nothing you can do about it so f**k it.

At least my hood is rock chip free (for now) lol

My 5th gen 1LE that was black never had this many issues with chips and imperfections. The paint quality is my only complaint on this 6th gen 1LE....can't believe Chevy went cheap this time around

I don't see any paint quality difference compared to the 5th gen I had...it comes down to the body design (more bulging fenders), the tires are even more sticky, (and wider in the rear), and I think the offset is even more aggressive...so, more PPF is needed if you are anal/OCD (like me).

Do not try to install PPF over "sealant" or "protectant" or whatever product you are using. PPF goes on first. Good PPF is life on a new car.

Meh, even the best film, installed by a top installer, technically has a life of about 10-12 years (depending on maintenance, and how the car is stored). At least that is what I have read on auto detailing sites.

Clean Bra on my 2007 Trailblazer SS is over 10 years old, and looks great.
