Any issues with the front splitter in everyday driving?

Wondering about the clearance entering/exiting steep driveways, entryways, and the like. If you do scrape, is it some minor scrapes or cracking of the splitter? (I think it's plastic?)

Surprisingly enough zero issues (mine is not lowered though). I was kinda worried at first but Im back to my normal driving habits after a couple of months with the splitter.

There is a plastic angle bracket or something under the splitter, I rub that on steep driveways regularly, but have never hit the splitter. It's high enough that it clears most of the cement blocks in parking lots, but steep curbs can be an issue. Figuring out how far out in front is the splitter is important. I did bump it on a curb parking at a mall once, just minor scratches, but one more inch forward may have been ugly. Once I became accustomed to how far forward it is, it's second nature now.

Folks that get the ZL1 lowered likely do have to pay very close attention to this.

So far no problems with clearance. I just had paint protection film applied to the entire front end of my car. The bad news is there was already a paint chip on the splitter before the film was applied. This happened in less than 600 miles. If you don't film protect the splitter, it will over time become "peppered" with paint chips and need either repainted or replaced.

Yes I bought these washers to help and I will also be getting the splitter wrapped with Xpel to minimize scraping. Well worth the investment IMHO.

If you scrape your splitter the xpel is going to do absolutely nothing for protection... just saying.

The xpel product is pretty strong and durable but I am fully aware it will still show scrape marks but at least having both the washer and expel product it will most certainly minimize the wear and tear. Keep in mind if/when I am faced with a high or slanted driveway of course I will be super sensitive.

I plan to have the film applied, but I believe that these are fairly inexpensive to get resprayed if needed.

$42 for 9 screws and washers? Lmao! How does this place stay in business? The jack pads they sell are overpriced too.

The splitter is deceptive, it take very little clearance away from stock as it juts forward more than down . It goes over a std parking ingot if you get over by a bit, I mounted a curb alert to be safe. Never scratched it in 14 months.

Clear Bra is well worth the cost, I have had it on for almost 5years and no rock chips on the front or sides. I pretty much back in anywhere I go and don't have to worry about the front.
