I have used the Z26 pads on my previous 2012 Camaro for track use. They lasted about 2-3 track day along with some auto-x time. So I changed to the performance frictions pads you can get at O'reilly. there were pricey but the were incredible. They work better hot and really work well on the track as well as the street. More like overkill for the street. Unfortunatley the perf friction pads aren't available for the 6th gens yet. still being developed. on another note I had a full compliment of brembos on my 2012 V6 RS. For street I would use the z26, for track (they can be used here as well, just shorten the life of the pads considerably) I would change to the performance friction pads.

Since the USPS has lost my rail protectors for my jack, I havent been able to jack it up and get the wheel off. Regardless, there is definately a difference between the 1474 and 1474A part numbers - Im just not yet sure which one is correct....

I just put the 1474's on my 2017 SS (round weights). No problem so either will work. RockAuto has 1474 listed for Gen 6 Camaro but PowerStop lists the 1474A.

I went back and forth between the 1474A and 1474 Z23s. Amazon listed the 1474A as not fitting the 16 SS calipers but the Power Stop website stated the 1474A is the recommended pad, so I got the A. Fits fine, like OEM.

The z23's are more for daily driving and the z26's are more performance/track oriented. I put the z23's on mine a few months back and really can't notice any difference between the stock pads and the z23's, except that there is barely any brake dust now.

I don't think there is much difference except the Z26 says under the description on the PowerStop web site that they will last longer. Seems no one has anything bad to say about either one. I got the Z26 because they may last longer than the Z23 but who knows.
