Probably because it isn't required.

I was under the impression the F1's were only good for around 12-15k depending on how you drove it.

Maybe I spoke too soon, 3 days after having the car back from the shop... tranny failure. I was sitting at a stoplight and went to take off, no power, and the tranny temp spiked hard. Pulled over, shut the car down and attempted to drive. In drive, the car began reversing...

Did your car have the Trans Oil cooler line recall? If so, did they "fix" it..?

Manual or auto? Seems the autos have a higher rate of problems just curious if it was another one?

Yeah it's an auto, should have just went with my gut and got the manual. I did in fact have the oil return recall and had it "fixed," with her last appointment. In talking to them I guess they did not secure the hose well enough, so it dumped all the fluid. Hopefully as a result of me trying to get it off the road, no damage was done to the empty tranny.....

After the fluid change on
Feb 1, 2017 , I occasionally had the groan. After a couple days the groan disappeared. I hope it does not return. 18,500 miles on the car.

Had the same thing on mine....changed Jan 3rd. A couple of days after I heard the noise ever so slightly....We've had some pretty mild days this winter here in NC, but the morning temps have been all over the place. Which is good because the groan was present during similar temps last autumn. And I've been taking it in to work a lot and have not heard the noise anymore. Had 10k miles when changed the fluid and now I've got almost 12k miles. Hope it stays that way

My only concern with not making them do anything is that it may be under warranty now but that slow wearing down of the clutches may not fail until your warranty is expired and then it's on you to fix it on your own dime.
Good point. Thanks for the PDF, I'm using this for sure. I'll take it in Thursday If they still refuse, then I will try a different dealer... I hope it doesn't come to that tho, as I have had many good experiences with this one prior to all the recent problems I've had with my 6th gen...

2016 CHEVROLET CAMARO SS UPDATE 4: DRINK THIS AND QUIT YOUR GROANING

Chris Walton Words, Motor Trend Staff

Our source within Chevrolet said this on the matter:

“On early 2016 [Camaro] builds that have limited-slip differentials, this was a known issue.

The ring and pinion gears had too much gear-marking compound [used to evaluate/adjust pinion depth] applied by the diff supplier,

which [in turn] contaminated the fluid.

Doing a fluid flush fixes the issue.”

I have the groan. Took it in to the dealer yesterday and the service adviser brought me a different TSB and it says it is normal for it to make the noise. Looks like I will visiting a different dealership.

why are dealerships refusing a simple fluid flush?
