I went to a few places and got quotes - $120-150 seems to be the rate. I will do it when I get some cash I dont care about.

What are they quoting you for? Like an over lay or a dash replacement?

I'd bring the stock leather piece removed and they would make me a new one. I'd install it back on.

Congratulations. I think that as You drive it, You will miss Your M-3 less and less.
Yeah, "That German engineering". But few things can compare to the SOUND and FEEL of good old American V-8 muscle. |

I haven't thought a lot about or missed much from my M since getting the SS. It is a worth successor!
The M had a V8 too, and I hate to break it to you, but it sounded better. I had done a fairly major exhaust mod to that car! You can read about it here if you're really bored. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253661

Thought I'd update.. I bought a roof spoiler for $40 on amazon and it not bad quality, but couldnt get it to stick at the ends, so I'll have to wait for warmer weather before reapplying. The company was very cool and is resending me new tape and suggested I let it bake in the sun first..
She also got her first wash! Two coats of Liquid Glass, and lots of elbow grease, and now I can actually see the flake in the mosaic black paint. Summer is fast approaching and I splurged for some summer rims for my OEM rubber. The sizes I chose were: Verde Axis V99 Verde Custom Wheels V99 Axis Gloss Bronze Wheel (20x10.5"/5x120mm et42) Verde Custom Wheels V99 Axis Gloss Bronze Wheel (20x9"/5x120mm et20) They cost $961 on amazon with the TPMS (ACDelco 13598787 -note there a few model #'s out there. This is the correct one for the V8 SS). I think the rear oem rubber will be stretched more than I'd want, but its still well within spec, and I plan to go to a wider rear tire on he next set - maybe a 295 instead of the oem 275. I am VERY happy with the look of these rims, I was worried they would look gold on one end, or silver on the other end of the spectrum, but they are exactly the color I wanted - not too obnoxious, but adds a little style! I noticed that when the light angle changes, they can look more brown or more gray, also kind of cool. When I first took opened the box, I had to check the label and see if ordered the gray by accident! In the light they went bronze. There is one bad part about low cost rims! The finish on them is not 100% - some pitting inside the rim (only) and some light blemishes on the faces. I considered sending them back but as all of the wheels have the same issues, it wouldn't be likely that I'd get better ones back, and to be honest for the price I paid, I'm ok with sub par - the actual faces of the rims look great overall and you'd have to bend down to see the issues. Anyway, I'm keeping them and am excited to see them get mounted - I'm just waiting on the sensors to arrive. BTW you can see in the pics above how the color can change on these. The close up shot of the pitting looks very gray, and the standing in the light shot looks more true to what it will look like outside.. Cool! It occurred to me that the stock chrome lugs would look sort of stupid on there, so I ordered some gorilla lug nuts on amazon for $56 (Gorilla Automotive 71643NBC Black 14mm x 1.5 Wheel Lock, (Pack of 20)). There is another model of these lugs (Gorilla Automotive 96643BDX) that have a wider base and I was worried about the skinnier ones that most people use, but after getting the rims, the base of the lug nut completely covers the mounting surface of the rim, so I'm good to go, and it will save a tiny bit of rotating mass, which is good! The rims themselves are 32.5 lbs (about the same as stock I think), so not the lightest rim, but not the heaviest either. Here is a shot of the seating surface coverage by the lugs: Thats it for now! Enjoy.

One step closer to mounting the Verde rims! The rears do not look stretched at all, very happy about that.
FYI, the tpms sensors fit fine and were torqued to 89 in-lbs. It was hard to find this spec online, I had to ask the dealer mechanic. Im not a fan of the center caps on these rims, so I think Ill try and print/cut some vinyl SS decals to fit in there.
