Mishimoto Camaro 2.0T Aux Rads R&D / Pre-Sale!

Hey Everyone,

So we've had this kit on pre-sale for a little while now, but we have officially confirmed fitment on the 2.0T cars equipped with the HD cooling and brake package!

2016+ Camaro 2.0T Auxiliary Radiator Pre-Sale (Pair)!

To give you all some time to think about this one, we've extended the pre-sale to be ending in probably 3-4 weeks - it was supposed to end sooner, but as a turbo lover, I'm looking out for my fellow 2.0T people!

To give you a quick recap of the R&D process, first, we examined the stock system:

With a Little Help From My Aux Rads

Check out this post for a little peek at the stock system on our SS, which is quite similar to the HD system on your 2.0T. Read more...

Next up, we revealed Steve's digital renditions.

Auxiliary Rads Forever

We began this project with two possible ideas for how to approach this problem. In this post, find out how they're different, and what some of the pros and cons of each were. Read more...

Anyone catch on to my clever themed titles yet? Don't Let Me Down, people.

Next up, Steve gave us a good look at some test fitting.

Baby You're and Aux Rad

Want to find out how our aux rads fit on the car? We fashioned up a nice little demonstration unit using 3D printed end tanks and an even more advanced method of simulating the core - cutting big pieces of foam into smaller pieces of foam. Learn more...

Lastly, we examined the performance of our Aux rads.

I am the Aux Rad

We figured out a very creative way to test the raw performance and cooling ability of these radiators through a very innovative bench test. And when I say "we", I definitely mean Steve. I just took pictures of it. See this process and find out which aux rad design won out. Read more...

So there you have it! Now that you're all caught up with the SS guys, stay tuned for some photos of the aux rad installed in the 2.0T!

2016+ Camaro 2.0T Auxiliary Radiator Pre-Sale (Pair)!

Thanks,
-Gardiner

Ummm... If you need help in that department, you're on the wrong forum... Might wanna head over to viagrachat.com.

A very wise friend of mine told me that the solution to needing more money, is to make more money. Quite simple once you think about it. Look around at what you're doing now, and find someone to pay you more to do it. I always HIGHLY advise someone to become self employed as soon as they have the relevant experience. Only reason I have a day job is because I can't go out and open a mortgage insurance company, and I do this job because I can't make my base pay at any of my self employment ventures. Leveraging my real estate portfolio to acquire more real estate keeps me from taking cash flow from that stream. I'm in year 7 of this venture with no concrete timeline. I wanted to purchase 1 apartment building every 3 years, and I close on building #3 by 2/28/17, so 2 years ahead of schedule. I'm on year 4 of a 5 year plan for my 3rd business, once I hit 5 it's going to be full speed ahead on opening another location. So ask yourself how bad you want it. Cause I want a new 488 GTB reaaaaaaaaaaal bad. And if you have any questions, let me know. I do know a bit about Canadian mortgages, tax forms, bank statements, etc. I worked for BMO for a while.

I hope it's obvious that I'm joking around...
And congrats on the success; I'm also doing just fine for myself, but thanks for the interest... Also food for thought: some people are not driven enough by money and possesions to go to such lengths to aquire it; myself being one of them... I've had more than one serious discussion about selling everthing we own and living in a cottage in the woods, producing our own electricity and food... Just for a simpler more enjoyable life, but to each his/her own right?

And I was just joking around back with you.

As far as the work stuff goes.... If you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. Even if you sell everything and move to the woods, you're still following my advice Because you'd end up self employed and depending on yourself to survive. High five! You got the point!

Thanks for the compliments! I know the feeling - spring time is coming and I have way too much modding on my list.

Re: Steve, he's actually known around here for keeping a drawer in his desk dedicated to hoarding condiments, so he indirectly makes all our food taste better by giving us a nice little stash of Chick-fil-a sauce and Sriracha to steal from when he's out in the shop. I asked him about that second one and he just laughed. Interpret that as you will.

There's a super cool documentary that based on your comments, you might like. It's called Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things. I think it's on Netflix. You should check it out!

Interesting! That sounds like a pretty involved project. The best I can tell you to do is track down everything you'd need to convert your car to an HD package, and then add our radiators! I'd be sure you figure out whether you'd need a new front bumper or fender liners.

We have not converted any non-HD cars to HD packages, so I can't tell you exactly what is involved as I wouldn't know the exact process, but if you find out more, we'd love to see a thread about it!

Was going to order the aux rads this morning and seen the presale was over... Was hoping for a heads up on that, now I have to wait becuase I can't justify the full price on these now... That really sucks :(

Please PM me if there is something that can be worked out...I already have the hose kit, wanted to add the aux. rads and the main rad altogether once you guys released them.

I'd say wait a few months get ahold of steve on a sponsorship discount. I can't get a bunch of this stuff right now with all that I've already bought, summer plans, wedding myself and bills lol.

I'm in the same vote, it just kills me to miss out on these presales; the discount is just to good to ignore
They said they'd be in touch... So I hoping for a favourable response, but also understand if I'm SOL. I've tried be super supportive of these products though so fingers crossed
Missing the oil cooler presale was a heart breaker!

I have no excuse, Gardiner pm'd me about the presale... But I got busy with life and just plain missed out, no fault on Mishimoto's part
The aux rads definitely caught me off guard though...

Sorry guys! This was poorly communicated on my end, the presale ended a bit earlier than I anticipated it would - doh!

I'll send you a PM ASAP!!
