Have you tried buffing it out to see if that paint transfer or actually damage/primer from your car? If it's paint transfer, I'd look into PDR. I had one in the same spot on my car, PDR fixed it for $75/ Can't see it at all now.

Yup :( main guy at the dealer body tried and said there's damage to the the paint and that PDR wouldn't work.

He also said I need to cover the paint ASAP with touch up paint (which I already have) or it'll start to rust.

Definitely going to avoid Maaco.

Question: Do you guys think that they'll be able to fix the dent and blend the new paint to look like new?

It won't rust except maybe just a touch of surface rust so don't worry about putting touch up paint on it unless you plan on waiting months.

A good shop will be able to make that as good as new for you!

Amen to that!

If I wanted to wait for a few months I can comfortably afford the repair, is that bad?

is there any reason for the repair to not be as easy / effective if I wait?

People don't understand that's why people like us double park.

We're not assholes. We just don't want your ****ing $500 POS 1989 Toyota Crapbox scratching or denting our baby simply because you don't give a shit about your car. Get some ****ing manners and common sense.
/rant off
I never double park if there's no space and especially around here I'm scared of the rednecks getting pissed off and intentionally messing with my car.

That's why I either parallel park on the street or park far away on an edge spot where only one person can park on a side of me, sorry that happened to you

So today I decided to park at the VERY end of the parking lot. 300ft at least from entrance. There were NO cars between me and the entrance, and of course when I get out many cars decided to park right next to me.

WHY?

Nah, waiting a few months won't make a difference.

Thank you so much.

Now for the big question. Why do our cars magnetically attract others to park so close? It drives me crazy to realize I'm at the very end of the parking lot and 9+ car chose to park next to me after I parked.

Giri.. do yourself a favor though.. stay away from Maaco... their paint fades fast.. that's why they're always cheaper... spend a little extra and get it done correctly...
