same... don't do car shows, and more about go, than shine.Quote:
didn't make much any difference in soot accumulation from my experience. its a by product of the combustion engine. if you drive hard, and let off the gas after a good acceleration. unburned fuel will be in excess for a very small amount of time which can add to it. our cars, and the LFX setups can adjust, but its usually the pulse width per octane used from the injectors. at a lower octane, the pulse width is usually a bit longer...higher octane will spray for a shorter pulse width. that's why people say, the gas lasts a bit longer. theres a guy that ran and datalogged tables over on Camaro 5 about this.

A good sealant will help some of the soot slide off. I polished mine with drill attachment exhaust polish pads and Chemical Guys Light Metal Polish. Then I applied Jet Seal. They don't get as dirty now and what does stick wipes right off with a rag.

Pull that NPP fuse and you'll have 1/2 as many tips to keep clean!

Yeah, either obsessively clean or let 'em turn black. Lately I've been leaning towards the latter....

you can use 0000 steel wool. Wont harm the finish and gets it off (with a bit of rubbing). Then use a soap to clean it.. I think I use p21s. It helps a lot on the next clean..
