Just traded my 2015 1LE for a 2017 SS1LE.

Only 140 miles driven so far.

First impressions: looks much better in person than in the photos,
pretty stunning, also big improvement over 5th gen while driving, much more solid and tight, feels like a different car and the recaros are awesome. I feel like I am in a cockpit.
I wasn't going to do it unless it was a big improvement over the 5th gen, I think it really is, glad I pulled the trigger.
Now, just gotta do the break in and then head for the track and autox courses.

Have you driven it in the cold rain and used the rain mode drive setting and if so, how did it do?

FYI, I drove my car yesterday and today in Greenville, SC with very patchy slush and avoidable ice on the roads. temps around 20-30 so far. No issues when just putting around. I sure didn't push the car. I did notice that the parking brake would freeze in place after several hours of being parked and would pop off when I moved the car. So now I only park by leaving the car in first gear in below freezing temps. Other than that just drive cautiously and you'll be fine.

It's also worth noting that I drove in some sleet on my way home friday and it was pretty easy to get the car to slip even with all the assists on. I did put the car in Snow/ice mode to really dampen the throttle sensitivity to help smooth my driving.

Jeez, and here I am complaining that it's been in the 50's for a few days here.

My car hasn't moved since last Wednesday because it hasn't been above freezing and we got a few inches of snow Friday. And they went WAY overboard with the salt in the parking lots on base so I won't be driving it to work for a while!

Yep. This is my daily driver. I'm hoping these tires will survive the winter and put the new pilot sport 4's on in march.

It's nice to hear that the snow/ice mode helps! The driving conditions you describe are probably the absolute worst case once a year or less scenario for the Dallas area so that's pretty good as a DD for me

Same for here. That was probably the worst weather this car will ever see. It won't get much worse than that around here and if it does everything shuts down and it will stay parked in the garage.

Just received mine last night. Put about 50 miles on it. My initial thoughts: what stands out to me.... the turn in on this thing is unreal. Honestly like it better than a 911. But coming out of the turn things get a quite a bit more sideways than the 911 . Other thing is the shifter. Feels soooo sooo good. Exactly how I would want a shifter to feel. The clutch not so great. Way too easy to push, not much feel. Wish I could make it stiffer. Also the seats, man they're so nice. Fit perfectly, very comfortable and look so good. Most noticeable to me was really the shifter and the steering wheel. Both feel so good in your hands. Stereo is junk lol I don't see myself going past a month before that's changed. and obviously the exhaust. Boy it sounds good. And with those pops and gurgles omg so so nice. Will be making a thread on the whole detailing process. Maybe in a week or two
