Neither will really do much, not until you get a tune. But a tune will void your warranty. HOWEVER, if you have the V6, GM released a CAI that comes with a tune and that won't void your warranty. If you're looking to pick up some power, that is what I would go with.

Ultimately the gains you will get will be pretty minimum until you go forced induction or NOS.

Most users get different exhaust for a different exhaust note. Not much to gain there, these cars are already well developed from the factory.

Overall Spartan is right. Both CAI and exhaust are just noise. A tune makes a big difference but I would wait a bit to see who comes out with new tunes. The current vendors only offer up about 20HP. Thats not worth risking a warranty over. You can get close to that with race gas

depends on what you consider FAST....

people say intakes and exhaust don't do much, which I agree with to a point. they are a GREAT starting point. but as said, define what you mean by fast? straight line, or an actual driving track?

that being said, after changing out JUST the stock exhaust to the borla exhaust...my fastest consistent time of the day minus 200lbs in the trunk, went from a 14.1-14.2 to a consistent repeatable 13.5 multiple times. most claim every 100lbs = a tenth. so given removal of the weight should have put me at 13.9 consistently at best from the weight removal. given the exhaust, that's another 4 tenths gained. most people change out torque converters for 5-7 tenths on avg. our stock exhaust, the rear muffler, is restrictive if anyone has seen inside of it.

the cars not tuned, as of yet, and given the intake, ported TB, and exhaust... the gains were definitely more than just noise. for those that don't agree, feel free, but please back up the claims with some personal experience or testing. most only talk about it online. I've experienced different gains at various tracks so far through this build. both on autoX/road course, and drag track....which is my least fave, but if its open, i'll do it.

if you are trying to chop seconds of the stock times, like said by Spartan..... nitrous, forced induction/boost, heavy N/A rebuild are really the main options. the engine is so new that parts aren't readily available so be prepared to go custom, and so far, I haven't seen any credible tunes available...and by credible, I mean custom, CMR diablo, or hp tuners setups...cause nitrous, boost, and heavy n/a is gonna require a custom tune for the most part.

one thing no one will (I'm sure there is one who will) argue:

-speed costs, how fast do you wanna go?
-money, time, experience...pick 2 of the 3 and you can have a whatever you want kinda car.
