Cammy - The Camaro
My gf named my car and since all my previous cars were camaros, they've all been retroactively named Cammy.
So that out of the way It's a mosaic black 2016 1LT A8 RS with technology pkg. (pic is before all mods ) http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=75 It's been prototyped by K&N and at least one other company they own for CAI. Still waiting on that getting into production. Also prototyped by Eibach for lowering springs and sway bars. Still waiting on that to go into production. Current mods: Performance (ish): aFe Cold Air Intake - Dry filter http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=14 Trifecta tune Dual catch cans (one for clean side and one for dirty) http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...2&postcount=49 --- http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=77 Ported throttle body http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...75#post9306075 Cosmetic mods: LED license plate lights LED trunk light LED sidemarker lights LED reverse lights (single resistor to pulldown residual voltage) http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=444887 LED turn signals (resistor for each side) LED multi-color footwell lighting (front and back) http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=444128 Painted calipers Painted engine cover http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=441289 MRT V1 Axle Back Exhaust http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...5&postcount=10 Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=15 Hydro-Dipped rear light covers http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=50 Upcoming mods: Fixing interior plastic panels from speaker vibrations Hydro-dipping various things Uber-Spectrum interior lighting. DIY and Overengineered Kinda wish there was more but the aftermarket is slow for the V6. Last edited by cellsafemode; 12-17-2016 at 07:39 PM. |

I thought for a second the thread was click-bate. So I bit, read the first sentence, and threw up a little bit in my mouth. I'm sorry but someone has to do this. I'm sure you're a great guy so I apologize if I'm being harsh, but this is a car that you dump your GF to free up a garage spot for...not let her name it something cute unless it's actually her car. So after you straighten out this thread, grab that jar sitting on her dresser, open it and retrieve your stones. Then please calmly explain to her what a Camaro is and why you can't call it Boo Boo Bear or Cammie or whatever. This is a bad ass machine and always has been, it's not https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Ken-Bl.../dp/B00E19H842

Seriously? Pretty sure naming cars after female names is the norm. I don't do it because i don't pretend my car is a girl but my gf did. Camy (another spelling) returns way hotter chicks than Eleanor, yet somehow that old hag name is OK? Hah |

I've updated the original post with links to all the pictures I could find. I need to clean the car up and take some new pics. I apparently dont have any of the calipers or the other LED lights. Mostly becaues they're not really any different from everyone else's calipers and the LED lights look little different from the incandescents (unlike the reverse lights which are very noticeably different).

Installed my MRT V1 axle back exhaust.
Here are some audio clips of the stock exhaust Behind Car: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...WJieUhtWVdZd1k Driving: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...klQZXUyQjNXME0 Driving 2: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...lFEbVhhamVxTVk Here are some after (i need another person to get some decent audio since the phone appears to be vibrating when driving around) Behind Car: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...UoxejVGTl9tWGs Driving around (window down and up) : https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6...Xk4UnFyaWxrQm8 The longest process was getting the 6 stupid hangers off. Also, the stock exhaust is heavy compared to the mrt. Btw, I cut the exhaust with the following tool. Took literally less than 5 min to do both tubes and no deburring necessary. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000M...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And below are some installation pics. I think the right side is angled just a little off compared to the left so i'll have to man-handle that to adjust it. Last edited by cellsafemode; 09-15-2016 at 01:48 AM. |

How did you decide on the MRT 1 vs 2 or 3? And over other manufacturer exhausts? I'm working on deciding which one will give me the sound I'm looking for. Hard to tell from some of the videos. I love the factory NPP exhaust but couldn't get the car I wanted with it (but got every other option).
Thanks for any input. And great write-up! |

V1 has no rasp. The tone was right where I wanted it and it doesn't sound like you have no muffler at all. Idle is subdued, and living in an apartment, it is important to not be the guy the entire complex hates.
Price is great for what you get and it was available on Amazon. Which was also important as I got 500 in Amazon gift cards from work so the exhaust was free - tax. |

Oh yea, and depending on the load it will resonate the car real good.
I have an audio clip above. Skip to about 3:30 and play through. I'll have much better clips this weekend since I'll have someone to hold the phone. |
