The 8spd with my 6.2 is pretty good. Don't really have any complaints. Yeah I heard they are getting the 10spd for the 2018 models.

video is out, hellcat auto, ZL1 stick, hellcat is faster, He gives rear wheel HP numbers at the end, HC is making way more than 707....:(

Not complaining or trolling just trying to backup my statement that the HC is way underated that's all and of course wishing that the new ZL1 had 700+ HP, LOL

In the video, He states the HC made about 635/640 at the wheels x15% gives us 730HP.
Zl1 he states 570 at the wheels x15% gives us 655 hp.

Numbers approx. of course. but the KEY here, just backs up what I said all along, 707 is WAYYY underated that's all.

Plus , different configuration, the hemi has a twin screw compressor supplied by IHI, vs the Roots (lobe type) compressor, by eaton, being the larger compressor you have a better overall performance, so not a surprise the Hellcat is a better engine configuration.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that the hc is underrated, it has been proven many times. This is why it will be extremely difficult for the zl1 to beat one. It is still incredible that we're talking about 2 extremely fast American production cars, capable of knocking down consistent 11 Second times, with 1 having already run 10s on street tires.

Maybe you're thinking in a different term then we are? The zl1 loses a lot of power even with M6, the auto hellcat puts out great numbers. We're going to be hoping to tie in a straight line, dig or roll. Gm should've made sure this car could trump the kitty in its game, because you know dodge will be bumping power and losing weight soon. God forbid they put a decent set of tires on. We really need warrantied stage kits.

In reality the HC would have been more comparable to a Chevelle rather than the Camaro. Problem is that they no longer build a Chevelle. So what we are comparing is a Muscle Car vs a Pony Car. Each do their own thing in different manners. Both have their upsides, the Camaro in the handling side and the HC on the comfort and road car side. It is a great time to live and have this choice.

The terms "Muscle Car" and "Pony Car" do not refer to a size class, nor are they mutually exclusive. Both the Camaro and Challenger are Pony Cars (Mustang rivals) and Muscle Cars (Powerful American V8 RWD cars).

Pony Cars never weighed 4370lbs. my buddy's 70 R/t 440 Challenger comes in at 3580 with aluminum wheels. My 66 Chevelle comes in at 3640 with an automatic and a big block. Plus half tank of gas. My Chevelle is considered a Muscle Car.

Modern pony cars do.
