The A10 is a completely new trans. It is not a upgrade from the A8.

Is the A10 the same tranny as the A8 with two more gears?

For the fifth gen they also ran it on DRs to make sure it worked with them and they released a video, haven't seen that for the 6th gen.
Good find! If that's true, the ZL1 will definitely be a low 11 car on a prepped track and will likely go into the 10s with DRs.

And the Mustang will have the same A10 in it very soon along with the high end trucks too. LTZ and High Country editions with 6.2L will be nice.

For you guys interested in high speed runs (not 1/4 mile runs....more like roll races) the one important thing that NOBODY in here mentioned was downforce.

I'm going to assume the ZL1 is generating more downforce in those triple digit speeds in comparison to the HellCat....and not to mention the hell cat has better top end power. Its no surprise the kitty can pull on a ZL1 when speeds get 120 to 130.

But on the strip, I think the A10 ZL1 will be king.

Yes. That sexy front splitter is definitely adding down force and therefore more drag as well. Even in the 1/4, removing the splitter could add MPH and shave a little time.

If it's not too hard to remove, I'd definitely test that theory. When my A10 gets here, that'll be one of the things I'll look at.

5th Gen advert HP 580, less 15% gives 493, which is seen in many dyno runs out there, maybe some even less.

6th Gen advert HP 650. less 15% gives 553, which we saw in a thread was 554

HELLCAT 707 less 15% is 601, look around, most come in at 640 PLUS
