Has anyone looked into what it would take to get a eLSD to function properly on the SS? I would guess the BCM would need to be replaced (or reprogrammed), but who knows what other stars would need to align.
I'd certainly be a buyer for an eLSD upgrade, but I doubt GM will offer it as an upgrade package. However, it is possible to buy an eLSD, BCM, new axles, etc. in the form of replacement parts.
So has anyone has actually researched this, i.e. traced wiring diagrams, etc.?

EDIT:
I moved my question to a new thread:

I was wondering whether the rear carrier was the same as ZL1, good to have the beefier rear.

Also...I saw the write up for changing the rear diff fluid, but what about the eLSD?

The HP guide says the Axle with eLSD capacity is 1.6qts. Then lists the capacity for the eLSD itself as 5.4oz.

There is no fluid spec listed for the eLSD. No change interval.

Are they the same fluid? Serviced via the same diff drain and fill ports?

I would like to get some clarification here, too...but I *believe*, the 5.4 oz pertains to the hydraulic system within the diff, and 1.6 qts refers to the gear oil itself.

I was wondering this too...I know the regular (non eLSD) diffs seem to need a 1500 mile fluid swap, and they have had noise issues. I was thinking about changing my fluid at 1500 as well...just not sure what the consensus is yet...anybody know what the Z06/Z51 guys who have had the eLSD before us have been doing in regards to this?

ATTENTION for SWAPPERS read in Car & Driver review on the ZL1 and they state that the convertible ZL1 does not have the eLSD and uses a 2.77 gear

The 1LE beefier? It looks like the SS is all iron and the 1LE aluminum on the side plates.

Neither of these is as strong as the 5th gen ZL1.

The SS 1LE diff is much larger than the regular SS diff, and the exact same one in the new ZL1. So it is designed to cope with over 650 lb ft...
