Glad you're ok. I wonder if you'll have any trouble with those blacked out tail lamps?

Glad to see that you're ok. It could've been worse.

I like The Replacements quote.

If it was me and the courts and cops didn't take of the situation, as soon as I was able I would handle it myself and take out however much damage I and my car sustained out of that sorry douche bags ass!!!

If someone hits me while on the phone and i am not injured there will be an ass whooping handed out until the cops arrive to work the wreck and pull me off of him or her, IDGAF!! You put my life in danger so you can check Facebook and shit; you deserve what it coming to you.

I was thinking the same thing.

I don't know, maybe it's because when I was young the only phone was the one that hung on the wall in the kitchen, but the thought that having a phone conversation while driving a car has never crossed my mind as a useful or good idea. Never mind texting, why in the he$$ would anyone think it's okay to read while you drive?

The NTSB did a study some years ago regarding phones and driving. In a controlled experiment they tested drivers, first sober and non distracted. Then while talking on the phone, both hand held and hands free, then they got them all drunk to a .15 BAC. There was little difference in the scores from phone use and the .15 BAC tests with hands free scoring only a little better. Considering the legal limit for impaired driving is .08 in almost all states, well...

First off, glad you are OK and will heal. Cars are material things and can be repaired or replaced.

I believe that there should be a law enacted, that requires all cell phone manufacturers, to incorporate an app, into ALL cell phones, that when it detects that it is in motion, faster than a moderate walk, it automatically shuts off. And the only way it would ever work is if the law applies to everyone, without exemption. Unfortunately, this will never happen, because our politicians will always exempt themselves from the law.

Just my opinion.

Thats terrible news, wishing you a speedy recovery. Its always easier to fix or replace plastic and steel than bones and muscle.

Really sorry this happened to you. Distracted driving & what seems to this old timer the addiction for this generation to their digital devices/facebook, etc. is something that I find very troubling & worrysome. Both my kids & grandkids are glued to their devices to the point where we have to tell them to put it down just to have a conversation. Heal well & fast.

Your Camaro being hit at 45 MPH looks to have held up very well. That is amazing to me with that type of impact.
