Of course it heat soaks. It's a supercharger. I bet it heat soaks on short road course without any long straights too. I'm gonna stick with the 1LE or perhaps a z/28 if they ever release one.

I'm not a drag racer at all. But 124 is Z06 numbers and that's without the obligatory mods (intake, DRs, etc). The car has POTENTIAL left in it. It's not a maxed out car from the factory. It will be on the magazines at Barnes and Noble.

I think the mph is about right and the exact reason why I questioned the 127 mph Chevy reported. I assume this was a manual. 11.8 isn't too bad if it is indeed a manual.

They used the 10 speed auto and it was mentioned this was the same car that Courtney Force pounded on with the huge burn outs and the 1/8 mile runs that were in the 7.9 range. Don't know if they switched out the tires after Courtney got through with them or not as it was never mentioned.

I don't know why yall are disappointed. They were taking off with no burnout and no prep, back to back to back to back runs, any car is going to get warmer and pull timing at this point. Fontana is also over 1100 ft above sea level and the DA was close to 2000 ft when they were testing. Of course you want them to show corrected numbers to compare to other cars on another day. And the use of 91 octane will most certainly pull a few degrees of timing and kill a couple mph. 127 will be attainable at a good track in good air.

Well the 127 mph they supposedly got was on an unprepped surface as well, but the slippery surface would more affect et...mph not as much. I don't know much about the place where the test was done though, I'll have to take your word . From what I read, the 124 was the best they got before heat soak set in. I didn't see the particulars of the video but you're correct about the times and mph improving in much better da. 2000' isn't very good.

That's the thing to me. I don't think people knew what they expected in the 1/4.
I certainly didn't have a time in mind. Were they expecting 10.9s?
