Tune is done! RPM hooked it up tbh I'm loving every bit of it. The tune took about an 2 hours of driving around doing pulls, the usual... would of been better on a dyno but oh well. Now according to their virtual dyno I'm got 287 hp and 334tq this is to the wheels, I am extremely happy with those numbers since I asked for a fairly conservative tune, didn't want to push anything. I do not know how much trust I have on these virtual dynos so ill be scheduling an appointment sometime this week for an actual dynojet

Martin told me that the power difference should be felt throughout the band and boy is that true, the turbo spools super quick, it feels like driving a new car they honestly know what they are doing with these EcoTec engines, they earned my trust. The cool thing about their tune is they actually ask you what you are looking for, in my case I just wanted a little more performance and for the intake and dp to work together well. They did just that, when you do get your vehicle tuned, let them know you want it more aggressive and pushing 24psi, this is a custom tune, no box tune.

What they said they found with these cars is that manuals seem to be performing better, they have tuned 15 automatics, 3 of them they were able to tune in person and they said they just lacked power, boost was only at around 11psi.. they didn't know if it was because maybe they had cheap octane in there or what. They have tuned 20 manuals, 5 of them in person and all of them pushed around 16-19 psi. My automatic was pushing 16 psi :( now I'm around 22psi. They can also tune the transmission now so they can make shifts happen later or earlier depending on power band, but they say that the shifts GM came up with are good if you do not have much power add ons.

They do have a 10% sale going on if you are interested, and if you are military give them a call, provide your benefits number maybe they can give you 15% lol or say that the guy from the red Camaro recommended you. Trust me they have a lot sitting on the shelves lol and they are trying to get themselves out there, at the end of the day I am very happy with the results.

Very nice. Boy, doesn't seem to take too much to boost these puppies. So you got downpipe and tune and you hit 287 hp 334 tq at the wheels?

That's according to their virtual dyno, its no accurate since the road conditions can affect the data, once I get the actual dyno done I will get you the numbers!

If I am not mistaken "evil beeh" got like 293 and 315 with no tune just intake and downpipe, oh and axle back. so 287 and 334 seem pretty reasonable for me. we are gonna have to wait and see though. Ill keep you guys posted!

This leads me to believe they don't have a good handle on tuning our ECU.

I'll agree with you there. Stock our PSI is a lot higher then 11 psi on automatics.

According top them they blame it on people not using premium gas, running 87 on that, they said the guys they tuned in person had to actually go to a gas station and fill up on 91... but can the octane actually have that much of an effect on boost? I mean 7psi?! they said I was the first to actually have 91 on the tank :l why would anyone not do that?! lol but yeah the platform is fairly new, id expect for any aftermarket tune to just get better and better with time.

New to your tuner, maybe. Our LTG has been in production for almost 5 years now. There were prior generations as well like the LHU in the Regal and the Cobalt SS back in '08. There are companies out there that have been tuning Ecotecs for 10 years now.

I dunno much about tuning nor do I pretend to know that much about it, I understand the basics and that if you already have a CAI, Downpipe your mostly smoothing out the powerband for easier access to the power throughout, more then getting higher numbers but the PSI they have you at is low for even a stock I4 Camaro. I'm hoping for about 315 HP 325 TQ with a tune on mine not totally unreasonable numbers from where I am now. If it's higher i'm happy lower i'll be a little disappointed but i'll remember that the LLT 3.6 couldn't hit 300HP without full bolt-ons including cams and or FI so i'll still have a shit eating grin.

But track times will tell the story i'll need to get some summer performance tires. The stock runflats aren't exactly what we want to run on and i'm already thoroughly modded so a stock run is out of the question now.

Should be pretty easy to get impressive numbers out a tuned and downpipe turbo Camaro. Hitting that tq number might be easier than hitting that HP number.

It was a shame that we never broke the 300rwhp "goal" on the LLT. Got so close though. I think that line may fall with the LGX V6. A manual just threw down almost 290rwhp stock with his manual car, which is pretty close to what you'd expect if you take the 335 crank HP and take roughly 15%.
